When Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear God and obey me.
John 20:17, Gospel
[Indeed, He is] my God, and your God.
Luke 4:8, Gospel
[So] you will worship the Lord your God, and Him only will you serve. [This is a straight path.]"
[Thus] they have certainly disbelieved who say, "God is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord."
[And] they have certainly disbelieved who say, "God is the third of three [Trinity]." And there is no god except one God.
Mark 12:29, Gospel
[For Jesus himself said,] "The first of all the commandments [is], 'Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.'"
[So] this [Qur'an] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded -
Romans 1:21 - 23, Gospel
Because when they knew God, they glorified [Him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like a corruptible man, and birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Romans 1:25, Gospel
[And thus they] changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

[Shepherd of Hermas 26:1 - 2], Gospel
First of all, believe that God is One, even He who created all things and set them in order, and brought all things from nonexistence into being, who comprehends all things, being alone incomprehensible. Believe Him therefore, and fear Him, and in this fear be self-restrained. Keep these things, and you will cast off all wickedness from yourself, and will clothe yourself with every excellence of righteousness, and will live to God, if you keep this commandment.
James 2:19, Gospel
[Thus if] you believe that there is one God; you do well, the devils also believe, and tremble.
Mark 12:28, Gospel
And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, "Which is the first commandment of all?"
Mark 12:29 - 31, Gospel
[Jesus answered,] "The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, and you will love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength - this [is] the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, 'You will love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:32 - 34, Gospel
And the scribe said to him, "Well, master, you have said the truth, for there is one God; and there is none other but He. And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God."
Mark 10:17, Gospel
And when he had gone forth into the way, one came running, and knelt to him, and asked him, "Good master, what will I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
Luke 18:19, Gospel
And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? None [is] good, except one, [that is], God."
[Sirach 18:2], Torah
[For] only the Lord [God] is righteous, and there are none other but Him.
Matthew 19:17 - 18, Gospel
[Jesus continued,] "But if you will enter into life, keep the commandments." He says to him, "Which?"
Luke 10:26, Gospel
[Jesus] said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read?"
Deuteronomy 6:4 - 5, Torah
Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God [is] one Lord, and you will love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
Luke 10:28, Gospel
And [Jesus] said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live.
John 17:3, Gospel
[For] this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and the Messiah, Jesus, whom You have sent."
[Thus,] your god is one God. There is no god except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
[So] say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "God is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with God there are other gods?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."
This is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded -
1 Kings 8:60, Torah
That all the people of the earth may know that the Lord [is] God, [and that there are] none else.
Psalms 18:31, Torah
[And so] who [is] God except the Lord? Or who [is] a rock except our God?
Psalms 86:10, Torah
For You [are] great, and do wondrous things, You [are] God alone.
Mark 12:32, Gospel
For there is [only] one God; and there is none other but He.
1 Samuel 2:2, Torah
[Thus there are] none holy as the Lord, for [there are] none beside You, neither [is there] any rock like our God.
Isaiah 45:21, Torah
[So] tell [them] and bring [them] near; indeed, let them take counsel together, who has declared this from ancient time? [Who] has told it from that time? [Have] not I the Lord? And [there is] no god beside Me; a just God and a Savior; [there are] none beside Me.
[So] say, "Show me those whom you have attached to Him as partners. No! Rather, He [alone] is God, the Almighty, the Most Wise."
Deuteronomy 4:39, Torah
[So] know therefore this day, and consider [it] in your heart, that the Lord, He [is] God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath, [there are] none else.
And [thus] it is God who is [the only] god in the heaven, and on the earth [the only] god. And He is the Wise, the Knowing.
2 Samuel 7:22, Torah
[So say,] "You are great, O Lord God, for [there are] none like You, neither [is there any] god beside You, according to all that we have heard with our ears."
"[Thus,] no partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you of Mecca] of those in submission [to God]."
Psalms 81:8 - 15, Torah
Hear, O My people, and I will testify to you, O Israel, if you will hear Me; there will be no strange god in you; neither will you worship any strange god. I [am] the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. But My people would not hear My voice; and Israel would not comply with Me. So I gave them up to their own hearts' lust, [and] they walked in their own counsels. Oh that My people had listened to Me, [and] Israel had walked in My ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned My hand against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves to Him, but their time should have endured forever.
Romans 10:3, Gospel
For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.
James 4:7, Gospel
[So] submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Corinthians 15:27 - 28, Gospel
For He has submitted all things under His feet. But when He says all things are submitted under [Him, it is] manifest that He is excepted, who submitted all things under Him. And when all things will be submitted to Him, then the Son [of man] himself will also be submitted to Him who submitted all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
So is it other than the religion of God they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned?
[So] strive for God with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. God named you "Muslims" [in submission to God] before [in former Scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So hold fast to God and establish prayer and give charity. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.
31:22 - 23, Qur'an
[So] whoever submits his face to God while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to God will be the outcome of [all] matters. And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, God is Knowing of that within the breasts. We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment.
Psalms 66:3, Torah
[So] say to God, "How terrible [are You in] Your works! Your enemies will submit themselves to You through the greatness of Your power."
2 Chronicles 30:8, Torah
[So] now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers [were, but] submit yourselves to the Lord, and enter into His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.
[So] return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped -
[So] say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides God once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds."
We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no god except Me, so worship Me."
And [thus We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship God and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know."
2:132 - 133, Qur'an
And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed God has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are in submission [to God]." Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are in submission to Him."
12:38 - 40, Qur'an
[And Joseph said,] "And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with God. That is from the favor of God upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful. O [my] two companions of prison, are separate lords better or God, the One, the Prevailing? You worship not besides Him except [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which God has sent down no authority. Legislation is not but for God. He has commanded that you worship not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know."
2 Kings 17:34 - 38, Torah
[So] to this day, they do after the former manners, they do not fear the Lord, neither do they do after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, whom He named Israel; with whom the Lord had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, "You will not fear other gods, nor prostrate to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them. But the Lord, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, Him you will fear, and Him you will worship, and to Him you will do sacrifice. And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which He wrote for you, you will observe to do forevermore; and you will not fear other gods. And the covenant that I have made with you, you will not forget; neither will you fear other gods."
Psalms 95:3 - 6, Torah
For the Lord [is] a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand [are] the deep places of the earth, the strength of the hills [is] also His. The sea [is] His, and He made it, and His hands formed the dry [land]. O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
[And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said], "And indeed, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
[But] when it is said to them, "Follow what God has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?
Matthew 4:9, Gospel
[For Satan] said to him, "All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me."
Matthew 4:10, Gospel
Then Jesus said to him, "Get away from here, Satan, for it is written, 'You will worship the Lord your God, and Him only will you serve.'"
Revelation 19:10, Gospel
And [so] I fell at [Jesus'] feet to worship him. And [Jesus] said to me, "See [you do it] not, I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus, worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Psalms 29:2, Torah
[So] give to the Lord [God] the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Psalms 86:8 - 9, Torah
[For] among the gods [there are] none like You, O Lord; neither [are there any works] like Your works. All nations whom You have made will come and worship before You, O Lord; and will glorify Your name.
Acts 24:14, Gospel
[Therefore] I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy, that I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets -
[For] indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
Isaiah 41:4, Torah
"Who has contrived and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the First, and with the Last; I [am] He.
Isaiah 43:13, Torah
Indeed, before the day [was,] I [am] He; and [there are] none who can deliver out of My hand, I will work, and who will let it?"
Isaiah 44:6, Torah
Thus the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of hosts says; "I am the First, and I am the Last; and beside Me there is no god -
Revelation 1:8, Gospel
[For] I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord [God], who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
Isaiah 43:10, Torah
"[So] you [are] My witnesses," the Lord says, "And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I [am] He, before Me there was no god formed, neither will there be after Me."
[For] He neither begets, nor is born -
[For] He is the First, and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.
Revelation 21:6, Gospel
[Thus] He said to me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give to him who is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."
Psalms 45:6, Torah
Your Throne, O God, [is] forever and ever, the scepter of Your kingdom [is] a right scepter.
Psalms 47:6 - 9, Torah
[So] sing praises to God, sing praises, sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God [is] the King of all the earth, sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the heathen, God sits upon the Throne of His holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, [even] the people of the God of Abraham, for the shields of the earth [belong] to God, He is greatly Exalted.
23:116 - 117, Qur'an
[Thus,] so Exalted is God, the King, the Truth; there is no god except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. And whoever invokes besides God another god for which he has no proof, then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.
[So] say, "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought to the Owner of the Throne a way."
Psalms 9:7 - 8, Torah
But the Lord will endure forever, He has prepared His Throne for Judgement. And He will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister Judgement to the people in uprightness.
But if they turn away, say, "Sufficient for me is God; there is no god except Him. In Him do I trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."
1 Kings 22:19, Torah
[So] hear therefore the word of the Lord, I saw the Lord sitting on His Throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left.
[Book of Enoch 9:4], Torah
And they said to their Lord, the King, "Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings! Your glorious Throne endures for all the generations of the world, and blessed and praised!"
Revelation 7:11 - 12, Gospel
And [thus] all the angels stood around the Throne, and the elders and the four beasts, and they fell before the Throne on their faces, and worshiped God, saying, "Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, [is] to our God forever and ever."
[Thus] you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [God] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "[All] praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
Revelation 19:6, Gospel
And [so] I heard as it were, the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia, for the Lord God omnipotent reigns."
Revelation 19:5, Gospel
And a voice came out of the Throne, saying, "Praise our God - all His servants, and you who fear Him, both small and great."
Psalms 145:1, Torah
[And thus,] I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.
1 Timothy 6:16, Gospel
[God] only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach to; whom no man has seen, nor can see, to whom [is] honor and power everlasting. Amen.
John 5:37, Gospel
[And thus Jesus said,] "The [Creator] Himself, who has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have not seen His shape, nor heard His voice at any time."
Exodus 33:20, Torah
[For] He said, "You cannot see My Face, for no man will see Me, and live."
Job 9:11, Torah
[So] behold, He goes by me, and I do not see [Him], He also passes on, but I do not perceive Him.
6:102 - 103, Qur'an
[For] that is God, your Lord; there is no god except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things. Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted.
Deuteronomy 4:15 - 18, Torah
Therefore, take good heed to yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day [that] the Lord spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire. Unless you corrupt [yourselves], and make a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any beast that [is] on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that [is] in the waters beneath the earth.
Deuteronomy 4:23, Torah
[So] take heed to yourselves, unless you forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which He made with you, and make a graven image, [or] the likeness of any [thing], which the Lord your God has forbidden you.
Deuteronomy 4:12, Torah
[For when] the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire, you heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only [you heard] a voice.
Leviticus 26:1, Torah
[Thus] you will make no idols or graven image, neither rear up a standing image, neither will you set up [any] image of stone in your land, to prostrate to it, for I [am] the Lord your God.
Acts 15:20, Gospel
We write to them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood.
Isaiah 2:8, Torah
[For] their land is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.
[Wisdom of Solomon 15:15], Torah
[For] they [have] counted all the idols of the heathen to be gods; which neither have the use of eyes to see, nor noses to draw breath, nor ears to hear, nor fingers of hands to handle; and as for their feet, they are slow to go -
Psalms 115:4 - 8, Torah
[For] their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak, they have eyes, but they do not see. They have ears, but they do not hear, they have noses, but they do not smell. They have hands, but they do not handle, they have feet, but they do not walk, neither do they speak through their throat. Those who make them are like them; [so is] everyone who trusts in them.
Jeremiah 10:14 - 15, Torah
[Thus] every man is brutish in [his] knowledge, every founder is confounded by the graven image, for his molten image [is] falsehood, and [there is] no breath in them. They [are] vanity, [and] the work of errors, they will perish in the time of their visitation -
Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.
Isaiah 46:6 - 7, Torah
[For] they lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, [and] hire a goldsmith; and he makes it a god, they fall down, indeed, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he stands; from his place he will not remove, indeed, [one] will cry to him, yet he cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
7:192 - 193, Qur'an
And [thus] the false gods are unable to help themselves, nor can they [give] them help. And if you [believers] invite them to guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you whether you invite them or you are silent -
[Wisdom of Solomon 13:10], Torah
[For] they are miserable, and their hope is in dead things, who call them gods, which are the works of men’s hands, gold and silver, to show art in, and resemblances of beasts, or a stone good for nothing, the work of an ancient hand.
[Wisdom of Solomon 13:17 - 14:1], Torah
[For] he makes prayer for his goods, for his wife and children, and is not ashamed to speak to that which has no life. For health, he calls upon that which is weak; for life, prays to that which is dead; for aid, humbly beseeches that which has least means to help; and for a good journey he asks of that which cannot set a foot forward: and for gaining and getting, and for good success of his hands, asks ability to do of him, that is most unable to do anything. Again, one preparing himself to sail, and about to pass through the raging waves, calls upon a piece of wood more rotten than the vessel that carries him.
[Wisdom of Solomon 13:16], Torah
[And yet] he provided for it that it might not fall, knowing that it was unable to help itself; for it is an image, and has need of help.
[And thus] they are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.
7:194 - 195, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those you [polytheists] call upon besides God are servants like you. So call upon them and let them respond to you, if you should be truthful. Do they have feet by which they walk? Or do they have hands by which they strike? Or do they have eyes by which they see? Or do they have ears by which they hear? Say, "Call your 'partners' and then conspire against me and give me no respite."
Habakkuk 2:18 - 19, Torah
[So] what does the graven image profit, that the maker thereof has engraved it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols? Woe to him who says to the wood, "Awake;" [and] to the dumb stone, "Arise, it will teach!" Behold, it [is] laid over with gold and silver, and [there is] no breath at all in the midst of it.
29:16 - 17, Qur'an
[Thus We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship God and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. You only worship, besides God, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides God do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from God provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who begins creation and then repeats it?" Say, "God begins creation and then repeats it, so how are you deluded?"
Acts 7:50, Gospel
[For God said,] "Has My hand not made all these things?
Isaiah 66:2, Torah
[Yes,] My hand has made all those [things], and all those [things] have been," the Lord says.
And [thus] if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "God." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to God"; but most of them do not know.
[So] say, "Invoke those you claim besides God." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant -
Isaiah 45:5 - 8, Torah
"[For] I [am] the Lord, and [there are] none else, [there is] no god beside Me, I girded you, though you have not known Me. That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that [there are] none beside Me. I [am] the Lord, and [there are] none else. I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil, I the Lord do all these [things]. Drop down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness, let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it."
John 1:3, Gospel
[And thus] all things were made by Him; and without Him nothing was made that was made.
[So] say, "Who is Lord of the heavens and earth?" Say, "God." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him allies not possessing [even] for themselves any benefit or any harm?" Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Or is darkness equivalent to light? Or have they attributed to God partners who created like His creation so that the creation [of each] seemed similar to them?" Say, "God is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing."
Acts 17:24 - 25, Gospel
[So I declare Him to you,] God, who made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; neither is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He gives life to all, and breath, and all things.
Psalms 146:5 - 6, Torah
[Thus] happy [is he] who [has] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope [is] in the Lord his God. Who made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that [is] therein, who keeps truth forever.
Do they associate with Him those who create nothing and they are [themselves] created?
[So] say, "Invoke those you claim [as gods] besides God." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant.
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and do not possess for themselves any harm or benefit and do not possess [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.
4:117 - 120, Qur'an
[For] they call upon instead of Him none but female [gods], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan, whom God has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion. And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of God." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of God has certainly sustained a clear loss. Satan promises them and arouses desire in them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
[So] by God, We did certainly send [messengers] to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. And he is the disbelievers' ally today [as well], and they will have a painful punishment.
37:123 - 126, Qur'an
And indeed, Elijah was from among the messengers, when he said to his people, "Will you not fear God? Do you call upon Baal and leave the best of creators - God, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
Jeremiah 7:8 - 9, Torah
[And Jeremiah said to his people,] "Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know?"
And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."
[But] the eminent among the people of Pharaoh said, "Will you abandon you and your gods and leave Moses and his people to cause corruption in the land? [Pharaoh] said, "We will kill their sons and keep their women alive; and indeed, we are subjugators over them."
But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error.
Exodus 12:12, Torah
[Thus God said,] "I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgement, I [am] the Lord."
[So] We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than God when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin -
Numbers 33:4, Torah
For the Egyptians buried all [their] firstborn, whom the Lord had struck among them; the Lord also executed judgements upon their gods.
43:57 - 58, Qur'an
And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.
Acts 17:16, Gospel
[And later,] while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
Acts 19:24 - 28, Gospel
For a certain [man] named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain to the craftsmen; whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, "Men, you know that by this craft we have our wealth. Moreover you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods, which are made with hands. So that not only is our craft in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships." And when they heard [these sayings], they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, "Great [is] Diana of the Ephesians."
Acts 19:35, Gospel
And when the town clerk had appeased the people, he said, "Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know how the city of the Ephesians is a worshiper of the great goddess Diana, and of the [image] which fell down from Jupiter?"
Acts 19:34, Gospel
[So] when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, "Great [is] Diana of the Ephesians."
4:117 - 120, Qur'an
[And thus] they call upon instead of Him none but female [gods], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan, whom God has cursed. But Satan does not promise them except delusion -
Acts 14:11 - 13, Gospel
[For] when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, "The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men." And they called Barnabas, "Jupiter;" and Paul, "Mercurius," because he was the chief speaker. Then the priest of Jupiter, who was before their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
Acts 14:14 - 16, Gospel
[Which] when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard [of], they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, and saying, "Men, why do you do these things? We are also men of like passions with you, and we preach to you that you should turn from these vanities to the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein. Who in times past left all nations to walk in their own ways."
[So] ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful gods to be worshiped?
Indeed, God does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with God has certainly gone far astray.
[For] unquestionably, to God belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than God do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
Deuteronomy 32:17, Torah
[Rather,] they sacrificed to devils, not to God; to gods whom they did not know, to new gods that came up, whom your fathers did not fear.
1 Corinthians 10:19 - 20, Gospel
[So] what do I say then? That the idol is anything? Or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I [say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God, and I am not willing that you should have fellowship with devils -
[For] indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided.
Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement?
[For] they worship rather than God that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan] -
[For Satan's] authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who through him associate others with God.
4:117 - 118, Qur'an
[So] they call upon instead of Him none but female [gods], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan, whom God has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion."
36:60 - 61, Qur'an
[But] did I not enjoin upon you, children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy - and that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path. And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
[For Satan had] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all -
[Book of Enoch 99:7], Torah
And [thus] they worship stone, and some carve images of gold and of silver, and of wood and of clay. And some, with no knowledge, worship unclean spirits and demons, and every kind of error. But no help will be obtained from them.
That is because God is the Truth, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because God is the Most High, the Grand.
[So] if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in God. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Indeed, there is for him no authority over those who have believed and trust in their Lord.
7:201 - 202, Qur'an
Indeed, those who fear God - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember [Him] and at once they have insight. But their brothers - the devils increase them in error; then they do not stop short.
[And thus,] a group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of God while they thought that they were guided.
34:20 - 22, Qur'an
[Satan] had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a party of believers. And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian. Say, "Invoke those you claim [as gods] besides God." They do not possess an atom's weight in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant.
And [yet], among the people are those who take other than God as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love God. But those who believe are stronger in love for God. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to God and that God is severe in punishment.
Romans 13:1, Gospel
[So] let every soul submit to the higher powers. For there is no power but of God, the powers that be, are ordained by God.
Psalms 62:11, Torah
[Thus] God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongs] to God.
[So] say, "O God, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things Competent -
[Book of Enoch 9:5], Torah
[For] You have made everything, and power over everything is Yours. And everything is uncovered, and open, in front of You, and You see everything, and there is nothing that can be hidden from You."
[So] say, "Praise to God, who has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness, and who has not taken a son;" and glorify Him with [great] glorification.
Hosea 13:4, Torah
I [am] the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, and you will know no god but Me, for [there is] no savior beside Me.
*1 Corinthians 10:7, Gospel
[So] neither be idolaters, as some of them [were]; as it is written, 'The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.'
*Exodus 32:6 - 9, Torah
[It reads,] and they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. And the Lord said to Moses, "Go, get down; for your people, whom you brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted [themselves]. They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them, they have made themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed thereto, and said, 'These [are] your gods, O Israel, which have brought you up out of the land of Egypt.' And the Lord said to Moses, "I have seen these people, and, behold, they [are] a stiffnecked people.'"
Acts 7:41, Gospel
[For] they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
[For the Samiri] extracted for them [the statue of] a calf which had a lowing sound, and they said, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot."
Psalms 106:20 - 21, Torah
Thus they changed His glory into the similitude of an ox who eats grass. [And so] they forgot God their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt.
Nehemiah 9:18, Torah
Indeed, [for] when they had made themselves a molten calf, [they] said, "This [is] your god who brought you up out of Egypt, and had done great provocations."
1 Corinthians 10:11 - 12, Gospel
Now all these things happened to them for examples, and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands, take heed unless he falls.
Romans 1:21 - 23, Gospel
Because when they knew God, they glorified [Him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like a corruptible man, and birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
[And so, like the calf,] they have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides God, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary, [and have thus changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible men]. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no god except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him -
[For] those they invoke other than God create nothing, and they [themselves] are created.
John 1:3, Gospel
[For] all things were made by Him; and without Him nothing was made that was made -
[And] indeed, the example of Jesus to God is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
Romans 1:25, Gospel
[But they] changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
Leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with [the Qur'an], lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than God no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve -
[For] they have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides God -
Acts 10:25, Gospel
[For] as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshiped [Saint Peter].
[But] it is not for a human [prophet] that God should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than God," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."
Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he order you to disbelief after you had been in submission [to God]?
Acts 10:26, Gospel
[And thus Saint] Peter took him up, saying, "Stand up [and do not worship me]; I myself am also a man."
[So] say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except God and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of God." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are submitting [to Him]."
And [warn of] the Day when He will gather them all and then say to the angels, "Did these [people] used to worship you?"
Revelation 22:8, Gospel
[For remember when] I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things.
Revelation 22:9, Gospel
Then [the angel] says to me, "See [that you worship me] not, for I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the sayings of this book, worship God."
Isaiah 40:25, Torah
"To whom then will you liken Me, or will I be equal?" Says the Holy One.
Isaiah 42:8, Torah
"[For] I [am] the Lord, that [is] My name, and I will not give My glory to another, neither My praise to graven images."
1 Timothy 1:17, Gospel
[Thus] to the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the Only Wise God, [is] honor and glory forever and ever.
Romans 2:21 - 22, Gospel
You therefore who teaches another, do you not teach yourself? You who preaches a man should not steal, do you steal? You who says a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhors idols, do you commit sacrilege?
[So] have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in false objects of worship and superstition?
They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides God, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no god except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.
[So beware the Day] when God will say, "Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as gods besides God?'"
[Jesus] will say, "I said not to them except what You commanded me -
Matthew 22:37 - 40, Gospel
[To] love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second [is] like it, 'You will love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
John 20:17, Gospel
[And indeed, He is] my God, and your God.
Matthew 4:10, Gospel
[So] you will worship the Lord your God, and Him only will you serve."
[Thus] they have certainly disbelieved who say, "God is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with God - God has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
So will they not repent to God and seek His forgiveness? And God is Forgiving and Merciful.
Matthew 6:12 - 13, Gospel
[So say,] "Forgive us our debts [O God], as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever."
Romans 11:33, Gospel
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable [are] His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And God is Knowing of that within the breasts.
And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.
Psalms 147:5, Torah
[Thus] great [is] our Lord, and of great power, His understanding [is] infinite.
Romans 11:34, Gospel
[So] who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?
Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?
[So] say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except God, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected -"
[For] to Him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."
[For He alone is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him].
5:116 - 117, Qur'an
[So beware the Day] when God will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as gods besides God?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. I said not to them except what You commanded me -
Mark 13:32, Gospel
[That] of that Day and [that] Hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son [of man], but the [Creator only]."
[So] they ask you, about the Hour, when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with God, but most of the people do not know."
[But] whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, God is Knowing of that within the breasts.
[2 Ezra 16:75], Torah
Be not afraid, neither doubt; for God is your guide.
[So] say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, "God guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who does not guide unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge?"
John 5:30, Gospel
[For Jesus said,] "I can of my own self do nothing, as I hear, I judge, and my judgement is just; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the [Creator] who has sent me."
[And indeed,] they cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command -
John 12:49 - 50, Gospel
For [Jesus said,] "I have not spoken of myself; but the [Creator] who sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting, whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the [Creator] said to me, so I speak.
John 17:3, Gospel
And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus, the Messiah, whom You have sent.
John 13:16, Gospel
Verily, verily, I say to you, 'The servant is not greater than his Lord; neither he who is sent greater than He who sent him.'
John 14:28, Gospel
[And] you have heard how I said to you, I go away, and come [again] to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, 'I go to the [Creator],' for the [Creator] is greater than I."
[So] say, "Praise be to God, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is God better or what they associate with Him?"
Exalted is He and high above what they say by great sublimity.
Acts 2:22, Gospel
Men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth [was] a man approved by God among you through miracles and wonders and signs, which God did through him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know.
Acts 10:38, Gospel
[Whereby] God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
[And thus God made him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who said], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of God. And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of God. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."
John 11:21 - 22, Gospel
[And so remember when] Martha said to Jesus, "Master, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know, that even now, whatever you will ask of God, God will give you."
John 11:39, Gospel
[So] Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, says to him, "Master, by this time he stinks, for he has been [dead] for four days." Jesus says to her, "Did I not say to you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?"
John 11:41, Gospel
Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, "[Creator], I thank You that You have heard me. And I knew that You hear me always, but because of the people who stand by, I said [it], that they may believe that You have sent me."
[Thus] their messengers said to them, "We are only men like you, but God confers favor upon whom He wills of His servants. It has never been for us to bring you evidence except by permission of God. And in God let the believers trust."
John 11:43 - 44, Gospel
And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." And he who was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus says to them, "Loose him, and let him go."
Luke 13:11 - 13, Gospel
And [also remember], behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up [herself]. And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and said to her, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity." And he laid [his] hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Luke 8:39, Gospel
[And remember when Jesus had cast out devils, he said,] "Return to your own house, and show what great things God has done to you." [But] he went his way, and published throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done to him.
[So] say, "It is God who saves you from [this] and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him."
16:53 - 55, Qur'an
[But] whatever you have of favor - it is from God. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help. Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord, so they will deny what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.
John 17:7, Gospel
[Thus Jesus said,] "Now they have known that all things whatever You have given me are of You."
God presents an example, a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to God! But most of them do not know -
1 John 5:7, Gospel
[For they say,] "There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.
Matthew 28:19, Gospel
[So] go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit."
22:52 - 54, Qur'an
[But] We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But God abolishes that which Satan throws in; then God makes precise His verses. And God is Knowing and Wise. [That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension. And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is God the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.
[And thus] God has said, "Do not take for yourselves two gods. He is but one God, so fear only Me."
Luke 16:13, Gospel
"[For] no servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
And [yet] among the people are those who take other than God as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love God. But those who believe are stronger in love for God. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to God and that God is severe in punishment.
Isaiah 44:8 - 9, Torah
[But] do not fear, neither be afraid, have I not told you from that time, and have [I not] declared [it]? You [are] even My witnesses. Is there a god beside Me? [There is] no god; I do not know [any]. Those who make a graven image, all of them [are] vanity; and their delectable things will not profit; and they [are] their own witnesses; they do not see, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
[So] O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about God except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of God [and the Messiah] and His word which He directed to Mary, and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in God and His messengers. And do not say, "Three [Trinity]"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, God is but one God -
Deuteronomy 6:4, Torah
[For] hear, O Israel, the Lord our God [is] one Lord.
5:73 - 74, Qur'an
[And thus,] they have certainly disbelieved who say, "God is the third of three [Trinity]." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. So will they not repent to God and seek His forgiveness? And God is Forgiving and Merciful.
Isaiah 40:18, Torah
To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?
112:1 - 4, Qur'an
[So] say, "He is God, [who is] One, God, the Eternal, the Absolute. He neither begets, nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent."
Isaiah 46:5, Torah
[Thus God says,] "To whom will you liken Me, and make [Me] equal, and compare Me, that we may be alike?
Isaiah 46:9, Torah
[For] remember the former things of old, for I [am] God, and [there are] none else; [I am] God, and [there are] none like Me -"
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?"
[But] most of them believe not in God except while they associate others with Him.
[And thus] they have attributed to God equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire."
[For] unquestionably, for God is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to God in position." Indeed, God will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, God does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.
[Or] have you [not] seen one who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and God has sent him astray due to knowledge, and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after God? Then will you not be reminded?
Isaiah 44:13, Torah
[For] the carpenter stretches out [his] rule; he marks it out with a line; he fits it with planes, and he marks it out with the compass, and makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
Isaiah 44:17 - 18, Torah
And the residue thereof he makes a god, [even] his graven image, he falls down to it, and worships [it], and prays to it, and says, "Deliver me; for you [are] my god." They have not known or understood, for He has shut their eyes, that they cannot see; [and] their hearts, that they cannot understand.
Say, "To God belongs [the right to allow] intercession entirely. To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. Then to Him you will be returned."
[But] they worship other than God that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with God." Say, "Do you inform God of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
28:74 - 75, Qur'an
[So warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are my 'partners' which you used to claim?" And We will extract from every nation a witness and say, "Produce your proof," and they will know that the truth belongs to God, and lost from them is that which they used to invent.
[Thus] when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.
And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus [as Lord] before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.
Matthew 7:22 - 23, Gospel
[For Jesus said,] "Many will say to me in that Day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? And in your name we have cast out devils? And in your name done many wonderful works?' And then I will profess to them, 'I never knew you, depart from me, you who work iniquity.'"
[Thus] if you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [One] Acquainted [with all matters].
Luke 13:26 - 27, Gospel
[But] then you will begin to say, "We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets." But [Jesus] will say, "I tell you, I do not know from where you are, depart from me, workers of iniquity."
Psalms 53:4, Torah
[So] do the workers of iniquity have no knowledge? Who eats up my people [as] they eat bread, they have not called upon God.
[For] to Him [alone] is the supplication of truth. And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches his hands toward water [from afar, calling it] to reach his mouth, but it will not reach it [thus]. And [thus] the supplication of the disbelievers is not but in error.
18:52 - 53, Qur'an
[So warn of] the Day when He will say, "Call 'My partners' whom you claimed," and they will invoke them, but they will not respond to them. And We will put between them [a valley of] destruction. And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere.
Deuteronomy 32:37 - 39, Torah
And He will say, "Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me, I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal, neither are there any that can deliver out of My hand."
18:100 - 102, Qur'an
[So] We will present Hell that Day to the disbelievers, on display - those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance, and they were not able to hear. Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging.
[They will be told], "That is because, when God was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with God, the Most High, the Grand."
And they will impart to God that Day [their] submission, and lost from them is what they used to invent.
[Wisdom of Solomon 12:27], Torah
[So] look, for what things they grudged, when they were punished, that is, for those whom they thought to be gods; now being punished in them, when they saw it, they acknowledged Him to be the true God, whom before they denied to know; and therefore extreme damnation came upon them.
Ephesians 5:5 - 7, Gospel
For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom [of God]. Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience. Be not therefore partakers with them.
Ezekiel 14:7 - 8, Torah
For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the stranger who sojourns in Israel, who separates himself from Me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me; I the Lord will answer him by Myself, and I will set My Face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people; and you will know that I [am] the Lord.
Leviticus 26:30, Torah
And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and My soul will abhor you.
39:65 - 66, Qur'an
[Thus] it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with God, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the ones in loss.
4:116 - 117, Qur'an
[For] indeed, God does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with God has certainly gone far astray. They call upon instead of Him none but female [gods], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan.
36:60 - 61, Qur'an
[But] did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy - and that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.
6:106 - 108, Qur'an
[So] follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no god except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with God. But if God had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them. And do not insult those they invoke other than God, lest they insult God in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.
