30:31 - 32, Qur'an
[So] turn to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer, and do not be among those who associate others [with Allah] - among those [Sunnis and Shias] who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what [Hadiths] it has -
For Shias follow the Hadiths of the Prophet's family, but Sunnis follow the Hadiths of Muhammad's companions.
16:123, Qur'an
Then We revealed to you to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth -
The Qur'an is the Best Hadith
This Qur'an is a Clear Book
Judge Only by what Allah has Sent Down
Establish Prayer [at 7 Daily Times]
Those who Disbelieve Follow Falsehood [in the Hadiths]
There is So Much Contradiction [in the Hadiths]
Do they have Knowledge of the Unseen?
Devils from Mankind Pass on What is Heard
There is a Group who Alters the Book with their Tongues
We did Not Send Any Messenger Except to be Obeyed
Obey the Messenger
Do Not Prohibit the Adornment of Allah
Dead Fish are Prohibited
They will Bear Witness that they were Disbelievers
They Say, "The Fire will Never Touch us Except for a Few Days"
There will be No Intercessor for the Wrongdoers
[But the Qur'an is not sufficient for them, for they believe that they have to have the Hadiths, which came after the Qur'an, whereby] 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn Najdah said that abu 'Amr ibn Kathir ibn Dinar said that Al-Hariz ibn 'Uthman said that 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi 'Awf said that al-Muqaddam ibn Al-Mu'diq said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Beware! I have been given the Qur'an and something like it," - Sunan Abi Dawud
Indeed, Sunnis and Shias each have their own Hadiths as a different clear authority, for they say that their Hadiths are needed because the Qur'an is not clear enough or detailed enough.
37:156, Qur'an
[Then] do you have a [different] clear authority?
6:118 - 119, Qur'an
[And] eat of that which the name of Allah has been mentioned upon, if you are believers in His verses. And why should you not eat of that which the name of Allah has been mentioned upon while He has explained to you in detail what He has forbidden to you, excepting that which you are compelled. And indeed, many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.
37:154 - 157, Qur'an
[Then] what is [wrong] with you? How do you judge? Then will you not be reminded? Or do you have a [different] clear authority? Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
[But they judge by the Hadiths, which were not sent down by Allah, whereby,] "Hannad told us that Abu 'Awn al-Thaqafi said that al-Harith ibn 'Amr said that some men who were companions of Mu'adh narrated from Mu'adh that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Mu'adh to Yemen, so he (ﷺ) said:
'How will you judge if it is not in Allah's Book?' He said: 'Then [judge] with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).'" - Jami` at-Tirmidhi
3:2 - 3, Qur'an
[For He is] Allah - there is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. He has sent the [Qur'an] down to you in truth, confirming what was before it. And He sent down the Torah and the Gospel -
[Such as the Jews who say,] "The Oral Law is a legal commentary on the Torah, explaining how its commandments are to be carried out. Common sense suggests that some sort of oral tradition was always needed to accompany the Written Law, because the Torah alone, even with its 613 commandments, is an insufficient guide to Jewish life. The teachings of the Oral Law, which explain the gaps in the Written Law, were eventually written down to comprise the Mishnah by Rabbi yehudah HaNassi and the Gemara by Ravina and Rav Ashi." - the Mishnah
[For they say that] Muhammad ibn Bashar told us that Abu 'Amer said that Sufyan said that al-Shaibani said that al-Shaabi said that Shurayh said that:
He wrote to 'Umar, to ask him (a question), and 'Umar wrote back to him telling him: "Judge according to what is in the Book of Allah. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah, then (judge) according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. - Sunan an-Nasa'i
[But Sunnis say that the Hadiths say that] Abu al-Tahir and Harun ibn Sa'id al-Ayli told me that Ibn Wahb told us, from Abu Sakher, that 'Umar ibn Ishaq, the mawla of Zaidah, told him about his father, that Abu Hurayrah reported that verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"[There are only] five (daily) prayers," - Sahih Muslim
17:78 - 79, Qur'an
And establish prayer at the decline of the sun [noon (3)], at the darkness of the night [6], and [also] a recitation at dawn [1]. Indeed, a recitation at dawn is witnessed. And from [part of] the night, arise from sleep [at midnight (7)] as additional [prayer] for you; it is expected that your Lord will raise you to a praiseworthy station.
[But Sunnis believe this hadith, that] 'Ali bin Abu Talib (RA) narrated:
The Witr [midnight] prayer is not obligatory as the prescribed prayer is [i.e. the five daily prayers], but it is a Sunnah which was established by the practice of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). - Bulugh al-Maram
[But Sunnis say that] Nasr ibn 'Ali al-Jahdami told me that 'Abd al-'Ala told us that Hisham told us that Muhammad told us that Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"[There are only] five (daily) prayers," - Sahih Muslim
[But] Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated that Sha'bah, Sa'd bin Ibrahim, Muhammad bin 'Amr, Ibn al-Hasan ibn 'Ali, Jabir bin 'Abd Allah bin Salaah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
We asked Jabir bin `Abdullah about the prayers of the Prophet (ﷺ). He said, "He used to pray Zuhr prayer at midday, the `Asr when the sun was still hot, and the Maghrib [sunset prayer] after sunset (at its stated time). - Sahih al-Bukhari
[But] Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah told us, that Shrek told us, from Khalid ibn 'Alqama, from 'Abd al-Khair, that 'Ali narrated:
The Messenger of Allah performed ablution and he rinsed his mouth three times, and sniffed water up into his nose three times from one handful. - Sunan Ibn Majah
[But] Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to break his fasting before performing the sunset prayer with three fresh date-fruits; - Riyad as-Salihin
Musa bin Ismail told us that Hammam told us that Qatada said that Anas narrated:
The climate of Medina did not suit some people, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to follow his shepherd, i.e. his camels, and drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they followed the shepherd that is the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy. .. - Sahih al-Bukhari
[But] Mahamoud narrated to us that Abdul Razzaq narrated to us that Ma'mar reported from Ibn Tawus, from his father, from Abu Huraira:
The angel of death was sent to Moses and when he went to him, Moses slapped him severely, spoiling one of his eyes. The angel went back to his Lord [without Moses' soul], and said, "You sent me to a slave who does not want to die." Allah restored his eye and said, "Go back and tell him (i.e. Moses) to place his hand over the back of an ox, for he will be allowed to live for a number of years equal to the number of hairs coming under his hand." - Sahih al-Bukhari
Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us that Sufyan told us that Amr ibn Yahya told us that his father told us that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri told us that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection, then suddenly I will see Moses holding one of the pillars of the Throne." Abu Huraira said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be the first person to be resurrected and will see Moses holding the Throne." - Sahih al-Bukhari
Younis said that `Aisha said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say in his ailment in which he died, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison." - Sahih al-Bukhari
69:44 - 46, Qur'an
[But] if Muhammad had made up some [false] sayings about Us, We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut his aorta from him.
53:2 - 4, Qur'an
[But] your companion has not strayed, nor has he erred, nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. [The Qur'an] is nothing but a revealed revelation.
47:24, Qur'an
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?
7:91 - 93, Qur'an
[Remember when] the earthquake seized [the people of Shu'ayb], and they became [corpses] fallen prone within their home. Those who denied Shu'ayb - it was as though they had never prospered there. Those who denied Shu'ayb - it was they who were in loss. And he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I had certainly conveyed the messages of my Lord to you and advised you, so how could I grieve for a disbelieving people?"
[But] Ismail bin Abdullah told us that Malik told me, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Abdullah bin Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Do not enter (the places) of these people where Allah's punishment had fallen unless you do so weeping. If you do not weep, do not enter (the places of these people) because Allah's curse and punishment which fell upon them may fall upon you."
26:88 - 89, Qur'an
[On the] Day [of Judgement], wealth or children will not benefit [anyone], but only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."
[But Sunnis say instead that] Muslim told us that Shu'ba told us that 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Asbahani told us, from Dhakawan, from Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (ﷺ) preached to them and said:
"A woman whose three children died would be screened from the Hell Fire by them," Hearing that, a woman asked, "If two died?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Even two (would screen her from the (Hell) Fire." And Abu Huraira added, "Those children should be below the age of puberty." - Sahih al-Bukhari
58:17 - 19, Qur'an
[But] their wealth or their children will never avail them against Allah at all. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein. On the [Last] Day, Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars. Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan - they will be the ones in loss.
[For] `Aisha narrated:
The Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was 6 years old - Sahih al-Bukhari[But] it was [also] narrated from 'Aishah:
The Messenger of Allah married her when she was 9 - Sunan an-Nasa'i[But] 'A'isha [also] reported that:
Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) married her when she was 7 years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her - Sahih Muslim
38:49 - 53, Qur'an
[So] this [Qur'an] is a reminder. For there is a good place of return for those who fear [Allah] - Gardens of Eden, whose gates will be opened to them. Reclining within them, they will call for abundant fruit and drink therein. And companions of modest gaze and of equal age will be with them. This is what you are promised for the Day of Account.
56:35 - 38, Qur'an
[For] indeed, Allah has produced the women in a [new] creation, and made them virgins, devoted and of equal age, for the companions of the right.
78:31 - 33, Qur'an
[So] indeed, there is success for those who fear [Allah] - orchards and grapevines, and splendid companions of equal age.
2:242, Qur'an
[And] thus, Allah makes His verses clear to you so that you might use reason.
[But Shias say that] Al-Hassan ibn Abdullah ibn Sa’id al-'Askari narrated that the judge - Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Hakim quoted Al-Hussein ibn Abdullah ibn Shakir, on the authority of Ishaq ibn Hamzah al-Bukhari and my uncle, on the authority of Isa ibn Musa Ghanjaar, on the authority of Abi Hamzah, on the authority of Ruqbat - i.e. ibn Musqalat al-Shaybani, on the authority of Al-Hakam ibn Atibat, on the authority of someone who had heard Hudhaifa ibn Asid say, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say,
'There are ten signs before the Hour - five in the East and five in the West.' He ﷺ mentioned the Beast of the earth, the Dajjal, the rise of the sun from where it usually sets, the return of Jesus son of Mary, Gog and Magog and the victory over them and their being drowned in the sea.' He ﷺ did not say the rest." - Al-Khiṣāl
13:9, Qur'an
[Allah alone is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Most Great, the Most High.
[For Sunnis say,] our father, Zuhair ibn Harb and Isaac bin Ibrahim and Ibn Abi Omar Al-Makki - Al-Zhair - said Isaac told us and said, the other told us that Sufian bin Ayna told us that Sufian bin Ayna told us about Furat, Qazzaz from Abi al-Tafil, from Hudhayfa bin Asid al-Ghaffari, who said:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon [Muhammad] said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. - Sahih Muslim
[Whereby every] hadith is narrated by [a] chain of transmitters [claiming that the prophet Muhammad said something]. - Sahih Muslim
26:223, Qur'an
[For] they pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars -
[For every] hadith has been narrated by [a] chain of transmitters, [such as] Abu Bakr b. Abi Shaiba, Ibn Numair, Abu Kuraib, Ibn Fudail. This hadith has also been narrated through several other chains on the authority of Abu Huraira [claiming that the prophet Muhammad said something]. - Sahih Muslim
7:16 - 17, Qur'an
[For Satan] said, "Because You have made me err, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]."
43:62, Qur'an
[So] never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is a clear enemy to you.
7:21 - 22, Qur'an
[For remember that Satan also] swore to [Adam and his wife, saying,] "Indeed, I am from among the sincere advisors to you." So he made them fall, through deception.
35:5 - 6, Qur'an
[So] O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so do not let the worldly life delude you and do not be deceived by the Deceiver about Allah. Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be [with him] among the companions of the Blaze.
[Such as] Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq told us that Yahya bin Bakir told me that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
"A bulky person would be brought on the Day of judgment and he would not carry the weight to the eye of Allah equal even to that of a gnat. Nor shall We set up a balance for them on the Day of Resurrection" (xviii. 105). - Sahih Muslim
101:6 - 7, Qur'an
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], he will be in a pleasant life.
[For Sunnis say that] Mohammed bin Abdullah told us that Saeed bin Abi Mary told us that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,
"On the Day of Resurrection, a huge fat man will come who will not weigh, the weight of the wing of a mosquito in Allah's Sight." and then the Prophet (ﷺ) added, 'We shall not give them any weight on the Day of Resurrection' (18.105) - Sahih al-Bukhari
18:105 - 106, Qur'an
[But] those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign any weight to [their deeds] on the Day of Resurrection. That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and [because] they took My verses and My messengers in ridicule.
101:8 - 9, Qur'an
But as for one whose scales are light, his refuge will be an abyss.
47:2 - 3, Qur'an
[But] those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove their misdeeds from them and amend their condition. That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood [in the Hadiths], and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord [in the Qur'an]. Thus, Allah sets forth their comparisons to the people.
4:64, Qur'an
We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah -
26:177 - 179, Qur'an
[And remember] when Shu'ayb said to [his own people], "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me."
26:161 - 163, Qur'an
[And] their brother Lot said to [his own people], "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me."
26:142 - 144, Qur'an
[And] their brother Salih said to [his own people], "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me."
26:124 - 126, Qur'an
[And] their brother Hud said to [his own people], "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me."
26:106 - 108, Qur'an
[And] their brother Noah said to [his own people], "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you. So fear Allah and obey me."
But Sunnis and Shias say that "'Obey the messenger' means to follow the Hadiths, which say that this person said that another person said that this other person said that the Prophet said this, so obey what the Prophet said according to this chain of narrators."
24:46 - 48, Qur'an
[For] We have certainly sent down clear verses [in the Qur'an]. And Allah guides whomever He wills to a straight path. But they say, "We have believed in Allah and in the messenger, and we obey;" then a group of them turns away after that. And those are not believers. [For] when they are called to [the verses of] Allah and His messenger to judge between them, at once a group of them turns aside [in refusal] -
For Sunnis say, "'This person heard from that person that another person said that Aisha said that the prophet said 'this.'
And this person heard from his father that another person said that Ibn 'Abbas said that the prophet said 'this.'
And this person heard from his father that another person said that Abu Huraira said that the prophet said 'this.'
So obey the narrators of the Hadiths."
33:66 - 67, Qur'an
[And so] the Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the messenger." And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries [such 'Aisha, and Ibn 'Abbas, and Abu Huraira, and the other narrators of the Hadiths, and Imam Bukhari], and they led us astray from the [right] way."
7:203, Qur'an
I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord.
[But Shias say that] Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi narrated to us. He said: Hamza b. Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Zayd b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib . He said: Abu `Abdillah `Abd al-`Aziz b. Muhammad b. `Isa al-Bahri narrated to me. He said: Abu `Abdillah Muhammad b. Zakariyya al-Jawhari al-Ghilabi al-Basri narrated to us. He said: Shu`ayb b. Waqid narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Yazid narrated to us from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers from Amir al-Mu'minin `Ali b. Abi Talib. He said:
"[The Messenger of Allah] prohibited drinking from a gold or silver vessel. He prohibited men from wearing silk; as for women, then there is no problem." - Al-Amali
[Such as] Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him), [who] reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited us from wearing brocade or silk and drinking out of gold or silver vessels and said, "These are meant for them (disbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter." - Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim
[For Sunnis say that] Abu Jarir told us that my father said, I heard Ibn Abi say I heard about the Mujahid from the son of Abi Laila that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us to drink out of gold and silver vessels, or eat in it, [and] also forbade the wearing of silk and Dibaj or sitting on it. - Sahih al-Bukhari
6:147 - 148, Qur'an
So if they deny you [O Muhammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals." Those who associated [with Allah] will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything [through something other than Allah]." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say [O Muhammad], "Do you have any knowledge that you can bring forth for us? You do not follow [anything] except assumption, and you do nothing except guess."
[Whereby Sunnis say that] Abu Mus'ab told us that 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Zayd ibn Aslam told us, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Two kinds of dead meat have been permitted to us: fish and locusts." - Sunan Ibn Majah
[For Sunnis say that] Daraqutni transmitted that Jabir reported Allah's messenger as saying,
"There is no creature in the sea which Allah has not slaughtered for the sons of Adam."* *A way of saying that [dead] fish are lawful food although they are not slaughtered [in the name of Allah]. - Mishkat al-Masabih
[For Sunnis say that] Abu Mus'ab told us that 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Zayd ibn Aslam heard from his father, who heard from 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Two kinds of dead meat and two kinds of blood have been permitted to us. The two kinds of dead meat are fish and locusts, and the two kinds of blood are the liver and spleen." - Sunan Ibn Majah
16:115 - 116, Qur'an
[But] He has forbidden dead [creatures] to you, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to [something] other than Allah. But whoever is forced, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. [So] do not say about what your tongues assert of lies, "This is lawful," and "This is forbidden," to invent lies about Allah. Indeed, those who invent lies about Allah will not succeed.
[For Sunnis say instead in the Hadiths that] Isaac bin Mansour told us that Abu Saleama told us that Abu Saleh told us that Abi Said Al-Thabri said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,
"Noah will be brought (before Allah) on the Day of Resurrection, and will be asked, 'Did you convey the message of Allah?" He will reply, 'Yes, O Lord.' And then Noah's nation will be asked, 'Did he (Noah) convey Allah's message to you?' They will reply, 'No warner came to us.' - Sahih al-Bukhari
33:7 - 8, Qur'an
[For] We took the covenant from the prophets and from you [O Muhammad] and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took a solemn covenant from them - so that He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared a painful punishment for the disbelievers -
67:8 - 9, Qur'an
[Hell,] it almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did a warner not come to you?" They will say, "Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are in nothing but great error.'"
[But Sunnis say instead in the Hadiths that] Moussa bin Ismail told us that Abdul Wahid bin Ziad told us that Abu Saleh said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said,
"Noah and his nation will come (on the Day of Resurrection and Allah will ask (Noah), "Did you convey (the Message)?' He will reply, 'Yes, O my Lord!' Then Allah will ask Noah's nation, 'Did Noah convey My Message to you?' They will reply, 'No, no prophet came to us.' - Sahih al-Bukhari
40:49 - 50, Qur'an
And [so] those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten a day from the punishment for us." They will say, "Did your messengers not come to you with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves]," but the supplication of the disbelievers is in nothing except error.
[For] Musa narrated to us that Wahb narrated to us that Amr ibn Yahya narrated to us from his father, from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, and the people of the Fire have entered the Fire, Allah will say. 'Take out (of the Fire) whoever has got faith equal to a mustard seed in his heart.' [And so] they will come out, - Sahih al-Bukhari
32:18 - 20, Qur'an
Then is one who was a believer like one who was defiantly disobedient? They are not equal. As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, there will be the Gardens of Refuge for them as an accommodation for what they used to do. But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."
43:75 - 78, Qur'an
[For] it will not be allowed to subside for them, and they [will be] in despair therein. And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers. And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain." [And so] We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth -
[For Sunnis say in their Hadiths that] Hadba bin Khalid told us that Hammam told us, from Qatada, that Anas bin Malik told us that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Some people will come out of the Fire after they have received a touch of the Fire, changing their color, and they will enter Paradise," - Sahih al-Bukhari
2:79 - 81, Qur'an
So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This [Hadith] is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn - [for] they say [in their Hadiths], "The Fire will never touch us, except for a few days [because we will come out of the Fire after we have received a touch of the Fire]." [So] say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say something about Allah which you do not know? [For] yes, whoever earns evil and his sin has encompassed him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
[For] Musaddad told us that Yahya told us on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Dhakwan, then on the authority of Abu Raja’, then on the authority of Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Some people will be taken out of the Fire through the intercession of Muhammad they will enter Paradise and will be called Al-Jahannamiyin (the Hell Fire people)." - Sahih al-Bukhari
[But] Ja'far bin Muhammad narrated from his father, from Jabir bin 'Abdullah who said:
"The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'My intercession is for the people who comitted major sins in my Ummah.'" - Jami` at-Tirmidhi
