We strive to guide to the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, in submission to only God, and to warn of the Last Day while keeping our own words to a minimum. Those who speak by their own words speak from their own inclination without knowledge, and they thereby mislead many. Therefore we avoid our own words and rely only on what God has revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an, for whoever does not judge by what God has revealed, such as judging by the Hadiths, then they are the disbelievers, the wrongdoers, and the defiantly disobedient.
God revealed the Torah, then God gave Jesus the Gospel, confirming that which preceded it of the Torah, and to make clear to the Children of Israel over some of that which they differed. So we let the People of the Scripture judge by what God has revealed in the Torah and the Gospel. Then He revealed the Qur'an, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it, for God did not send before any messenger, except that when He spoke, Satan threw misunderstanding into it. But God abolished any misunderstanding which Satan threw into the Gospel and Torah, and then made precise His verses in the Qur'an, and so we judge between them by what God has revealed in the Qur'an. But the people have divided the religion among themselves into sects - each faction rejoicing only in the Book that it has. So the Jews say, "The Christians have nothing true to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they both recite the Scripture. And the Sunni, Shia, and Qur'anist Muslims speak the same as their words and say, "The Jews and the Christians have nothing true to stand on," although they all recite the Scripture.
But whoever disbelieves in His Books - the Book He sent down upon Muhammad, and the Scripture He sent down before, has gone far astray, for indeed this, your religion, is one religion. For God has ordained for us of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which He revealed to Muhammad, and what He enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Therefore we let the verses from all three speak for us by stringing them together in order to prove numerous theses, and to prove overall, that the Torah, Gospel, and Qur'an were all revealed by God, and that indeed, they form one religion - the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth. This is done through a series of Topics, each having a thesis as a title and subtitle, where the thesis is an excerpt from a verse, and then the verses beneath serve to prove that thesis. And each Topic has Sections with verses from all three Books that serve to prove and support the main Topic thesis in like manner. All these Topics together serve to prove that all three Books were revealed by God and confirm each other, thus forming one religion. And had God willed, He would have made us one nation united in religion, but He intended to test us in what He has given us; so we race to all that is good in the Torah, Gospel and Qur'an, listening to all and receiving only the truth, using the Qur'an as the Criterion.
So for those who seek God with all their heart, they will have no doubt as to the truth of submitting to only God in the religion of Abraham. But for those who do not rely only on God, but rather, those they associate with God, or instead are distracted by the worldly life and rely on assumption and blind faith, they will not be successful, for indeed they are in extreme error. For God created life and death to test us as to which is best in deed, and He will surely test us to make evident those who believe and those who do not believe. And so, only those who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what God has provided for them for His cause, and who believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and what was revealed before him, and of the Hereafter they are certain - those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.
But those who do not believe and who have been deluded into extreme error by the worldly life, and deny their Lord who created them from clay with precise determination, and who certainly created the heavens and the earth in six days, and who spread the earth as a carpet and raised the heaven as a ceiling, there will come to them the news of that which they used to deny and ridicule on the Day of Judgement. For on that Day, God will remove the mountains and they will see the earth as a level plain, they will not see therein any curve, and the ceiling of the heavens will be rolled as a scroll, and the stars will fall from heaven to the earth, and the Hellfire which they denied will be brought forth, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule, and lost from them is that which they used to invent.
And those before them had already denied, and when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they merely rejoiced in what they had of knowledge. And they disputed by falsehood to attempt to invalidate the truth, and each intended a plot to kill or evict their messenger, so God destroyed them. And their well known ruins and stories have been left as a reminder and a warning for those of intelligence. For the people of Noah, when they denied the messengers, God drowned them, and He made them a sign for mankind, and He destroyed the people of Lot and Moses and many in between, and thus it has become clear how God dealt with them, for indeed they were criminals. For those who disbelieved said to their messengers, "We will surely drive you out of our land or you must return to our beliefs." So God dispensed with them. And for every nation is a term, and when their time has come, they will not postpone it an hour, nor will they advance it. And for every nation is a messenger, so when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged. Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, speaking in your language, that he may warn you and that you may fear God so you might receive mercy?
[Shepherd of Hermas 40:4], Gospel
"Listen," he says. "Those who have never investigated concerning the truth, nor inquired concerning God, but have merely believed, and have been mixed up in business affairs and riches and heathen friendships, and many other affairs of this world - as many, I say, who devote themselves to these things, do not comprehend the parables of God; for they are darkened by these actions, and are corrupted and become barren.
[Shepherd of Hermas 40:5], Gospel
As good vineyards, when they are treated with neglect, are made barren by the thorns and weeds of various kinds, so men who, after they have believed, fall into these many occupations which were mentioned before, lose their understanding and comprehend nothing at all concerning righteousness; for if they hear concerning God and truth, their mind is absorbed in their occupations, and they perceive nothing at all -"
Mark 4:18 - 19, Gospel
[For] these are those that are sown among thorns; these hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things enter in [and] choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
[So] know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from God and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion?
[Shepherd of Hermas 40:6], Gospel
"But those who have the fear of God, and investigate concerning God and truth, and direct their heart towards the Lord, perceive and understand everything that is said to them more quickly, because they have the fear of the Lord in themselves; for where the Lord dwells, there too is great understanding. Cleave therefore to the Lord, and you will understand and perceive all [necessary] things."
3:3 - 4, Qur'an
[But indeed, God] has revealed to you, the [Qur'an] in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Criterion. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of God will have a severe punishment, and God is Almighty, the Owner of Retribution.
[And] indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to God] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of God, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what God has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers.
[For] the Jews say "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus the polytheists [including the Sunni, Shia, and Qur'anist Muslims] speak the same as their words [and say, "The Jews and the Christians have nothing true to stand on"]. But God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
[So] O you who have believed, believe in God and His messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His messenger, and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in God, His Books, His messengers, His angels, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray -
[For] He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others [with God] is that to which you invite them. God chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].
4:162 - 163, Qur'an
[Thus] those firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you. And the establishers of prayer [especially] and the givers of charity and the believers in God and the Last Day - those We will give a great reward. Indeed, We have revealed to you, as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the [twelve] tribes [of Israel], Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Book [of Psalms].
23:52 - 53, Qur'an
"[So] indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what [Book] it has, rejoicing -
2:135 - 137, Qur'an
[For] they say, "Be Jews or Christians [or Sunni or Shia or Qur'anist Muslims so] you will be guided." Say, "Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists." Say, "We have believed in God and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the [twelve] tribes [of Israel] and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are in submission to Him." So if they believe in the same as you believe in, then they have been [rightly] guided; but if they turn away, they are only in dissension, and God will be sufficient for you against them. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

35:24 - 25, Qur'an
Indeed, We have sent you [O Muhammad] with the truth as a warner and a bringer of good tidings. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner. And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.
22:42 - 45, Qur'an
[So] if they deny you, - so, before them, did the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud deny, and the people of Abraham and the people of Lot and the inhabitants of Midian. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach. [So] how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace?
2 Peter 2:5 - 6, Gospel
And [God] did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those after that should live ungodly -
[But] never would your Lord have destroyed the cities until He had sent to their mother [city] a messenger reciting to them Our verses. And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers.
And [so] We did not send any messenger except speaking in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and God sends astray [thereby] whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Almighty, the Most Wise.

[Shepherd of Hermas 43:7], Gospel
"How then, Sir," I say, "Will a man know which of them is a prophet, and who a false prophet?" "Hear," he says, "Concerning both the prophets; and, as I will tell you, so will you test the prophet and the false prophet. By his life, test the man who has the Holy Spirit.
[Shepherd of Hermas 43:12], Gospel
In the first place, that man who seems to have a spirit, exalts himself, and desires to have a chief place, and straightaway he is impudent and shameless and talkative and conversant in many luxuries and in many other deceits and receives money for his prophesying, but if he does not receive, he does not prophesy. Now can a Holy Spirit receive money and prophesy? It is not possible for a prophet of God to do this, but the spirit of such prophets is earthly."
11:28 - 29, Qur'an
[Like Noah, who] said, "O my people have you considered if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it? And O my people, I ask not of you for it any wealth. My reward is not but from God. And I am not one to drive away those who have believed. Indeed, they will meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people behaving ignorantly."
11:50 - 51, Qur'an
And to 'Aad [We sent] their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, serve God; you have no god other than Him. You are not but inventors [of falsehood]. O my people, I do not ask you for it any reward. My reward is only from the One who created me. Then will you not reason?"
26:161 - 164, Qur'an
[And] their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear [God]? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear God and obey me. And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds."
26:142 - 145, Qur'an
[And] their brother Salih said to [Thamud], "Will you not fear [God]? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear God and obey me. And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds."
26:177 - 180, Qur'an
[And] Shu'ayb said to [the companions of the thicket], "Will you not fear [God]? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear God and obey me. And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds."
[And thus] those are the ones whom God has guided [as well as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, David and Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron; Zacharias and John, Jesus and Elijah; and Ishmael, Elisha and Jonah,] so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."
23:72 - 74, Qur'an
Or do you ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path -
1 Timothy 6:10 - 11, Gospel
For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
34:46 - 47, Qur'an
[So] say [O Muhammad], "I only advise you of one [thing] - that you stand for God, [seeking truth] in pairs and individually, and then give thought." There is not in your companion any [devil of] jinn He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment. Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from God, and He is, over all things, Witness."
