15:39 - 40, Qur'an
[For Satan] said, "My Lord, because You have made me err, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all, except, among them, Your chosen servants."
[So] O children of Adam, do not let Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from the Garden, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe -
[So] by God, We did certainly send [warners] to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. And he is [the disbelievers'] ally today [as well], and they will have a painful punishment.
[But Satan] had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.
35:5 - 6, Qur'an
[So] O mankind, indeed the promise of God is truth, so do not let the worldly life delude you and do not be deceived about God by the Deceiver. Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze -
Satan was Arrogant and Became of the Disbelievers
Satan is of those Reprieved until the Last Day
Indeed Satan is an Enemy to you
The Leaders of This People Cause them to Err
Satan's Authority is Over those who Associate
Did I Not Enjoin upon you to Not Serve Satan?
Fear God that you Might Receive Mercy
Do Not Fear the Devil
God's Punishment is the Painful Punishment
Enter in at the Strait Gate
God Made the Keepers of the Fire Angels
God has the Power of Life and Death
I Make Peace and Create Evil
All Power Belongs to God
Never Think that God is Unaware
You will Not Cause Failure to God
16:22 - 24, Qur'an
[For] your god is one God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter - their hearts are disapproving, and they are arrogant. Assuredly, God knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not love the arrogant. And when it is said to them, "What has your Lord sent down?" They say, "Legends of the former peoples,"
17:47 - 48, Qur'an
[Thus] We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You do not follow but a man affected by magic." Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way -
39:59 - 60, Qur'an
[For] yes, there had come to you My verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers." And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about God [with] their faces blackened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?
[So] O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of God upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure, ever, but God purifies whom He wills, and God is Hearing and Knowing.
7:16 - 17, Qur'an
[Satan] said, "Because You have made me err, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You].
17:63 - 64, Qur'an
[So God] said, "Go, for whoever of them follows you, indeed Hell will be the recompense of you - an ample recompense. And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion -
John 8:44, Gospel
[For] he was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar, and the father of it.
35:6 - 7, Qur'an
[So] indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze. Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.
37:29 - 32, Qur'an
[But] the oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, and we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. So the word of our Lord has come true upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
Isaiah 9:16 - 19, Torah
[And so] the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [those who are] led of them [are] destroyed. Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, neither will He have mercy on their fatherless and widows, for everyone [is] a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand [is] stretched out still. For wickedness burns as the fire, it will devour the briers and thorns, and will kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they will mount up [like] the lifting up of smoke. Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts, the land is darkened, and the people will be as the fuel of the fire, no man will spare his brother.
[So] O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of God is truth, so do not let the worldly life delude you and do not be deceived about God by the Deceiver -
[For] Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, God had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with God] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment."
[For] unquestionably, to God [belongs] whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than God do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They do not follow except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
1 Corinthians 10:19 - 20, Gospel
[So] what do I say then? That the idol is anything? Or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I [say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God, and I am not willing that you should have fellowship with devils -
4:117 - 118, Qur'an
[So] they call upon instead of Him none but female [gods], and they [actually] call upon none but a rebellious Satan, whom God has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion."
36:60 - 62, Qur'an
[But] did I not enjoin upon you, children of Adam, that you not serve Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy - and that you serve [only] Me? This is a straight path. And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
[Book of Enoch 99:7], Torah
And [thus] they prostrate to stone, and some carve images of gold and of silver, and of wood and of clay. And some, with no knowledge, serve unclean spirits and demons, and every kind of error. But no help will be obtained from them.
7:200 - 202, Qur'an
And [so] if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in God. Indeed, He is Hearing and Knowing. Indeed, those who fear [God] - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember [Him] and at once they have insight. But their brothers - the devils increase them in error; then they do not stop short.
Isaiah 14:13 - 14, Torah
[And so Satan has] said in [his] heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High."
72:8 - 9, Qur'an
And [so] we [too] have sought to touch the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. And we used to sit therein [in heaven] in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him."
Deuteronomy 4:19, Torah
[So take heed,] unless you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see all the soldiers of heaven, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [and] should be driven to prostrate to them, and serve them, which the Lord your God has divided to all nations under the whole heaven.
37:158 - 159, Qur'an
[For] they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. Exalted is God above what they describe -
[But] they have attributed to God partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.
18:51 - 52, Qur'an
[For] I did not make [the jinn] witness to the creation of the heavens and the earth or to the creation of themselves, and I would not have taken the misguiders as assistants. [So warn of] the Day when He will say, "Call 'My partners' whom you claimed," and they will invoke them, but they will not respond to them. And We will put between them [a valley of] destruction.
26:91 - 95, Qur'an
And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, and it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to serve other than God? Can they help you or help themselves?" So they will be overturned into [Hellfire], they and the deviators and the soldiers of [Satan], all together.
26:96 - 99, Qur'an
[But] they will say while they dispute therein, "By God, we were indeed in clear error when we equated [the soldiers of Satan] with the Lord of the worlds. And no one misguided us except the criminals."
36:60 - 64, Qur'an
[Then God will say,] "Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not serve Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy - and that you serve [only] Me? This is a straight path. And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason? This is the Hellfire which you were promised. [Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."
Luke 12:4 - 5, Gospel
"[So] I say to you my friends, 'Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.' But I will forewarn you whom you will fear, 'Fear Him, which after He has killed has power to cast into Hell;' I say to you, 'Fear Him.'"
74:53 - 56, Qur'an
[But] no! They do not fear the Hereafter. No! Indeed, [the Qur'an] is a reminder. Then whoever wills will remember it. And they will not remember except that God wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for forgiveness.
Romans 9:18 - 20, Gospel
Therefore He has mercy on whom He will [have mercy], and whom He is willing, He hardens. Will you then say to me, "Why does He find fault? For who has resisted His will?" No but, O man, who are you who replies against God? Should the thing formed say to Him who formed [it], "Why have you made me thus?"
[No, for] to God belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear God. But if you disbelieve - then to God belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is God Free of need and Praiseworthy.
7:201 - 202, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those who fear God - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember and at once they have insight. But their brothers - the devils increase them in error; then they do not stop short.
[Shepherd of Hermas 37:4], Gospel
Fear therefore is of two kinds. If you desire to do evil, fear the Lord, and you will not do it. If again you desire to do good, fear the Lord and you will do it. Therefore the fear of the Lord is powerful and great and glorious. Fear the Lord then, and you will live to Him; and as many of those who keep His commandments and will fear Him, will live to God.
2 Kings 17:37 - 39, Torah
And [thus] the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which He wrote for you, you will observe to do forevermore; and you will not fear other gods. And the covenant that I have made with you, you will not forget; neither will you fear other gods. But the Lord your God you will fear; and He will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
[Shepherd of Hermas 37:2], Gospel
"[So] do not fear the devil; for, if you fear the Lord, you will be master over the devil, for there is no power in him. [For] in whom is no power, neither is there fear of him; but in whom power is glorious, of him is fear likewise. For everyone who has power has fear, whereas he who has no power is despised of all -
[Shepherd of Hermas 48:2], Gospel
[Thus Satan] cannot," he says, "Overmaster the servants of God, who set their hope on Him with their whole heart. The devil can wrestle with them, but he cannot overthrow them. Then, if you resist him, he will be vanquished and will flee from you disgraced. But many," he says, "Who are utterly empty, fear the devil as if he had power.
[Shepherd of Hermas 48:4], Gospel
So the devil comes to all the servants of God tempting them. As many then who are complete in the faith, oppose him mightily, and he departs from them, not having a place where he can find an entrance. So he comes next to the empty ones, and finding a place, goes into them, and he further does what he wills in them, and they become submissive slaves to him.
[Shepherd of Hermas 49:1 - 2], Gospel
But I, the angel of repentance, say to you; do not fear the devil; for I was sent," he says, "To be with you, who repents with your whole heart, and to strengthen you in the faith. Believe, therefore, on God, you, who by reason of your sins, have despaired of your life, and are adding to your sins, and weighing down your life; for if you turn to the Lord with your whole heart, and work righteousness the remaining days of your life, and serve Him rightly according to His will, He will give healing to your former sins, and you will have power to master the works of the devil. But of the threatening of the devil, do not fear at all; for he is unstrung, like the sinews of a dead man."
[For even Satan fears God, for remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear God. And God is severe in penalty."
James 5:1 - 3, Gospel
[So] go now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that will come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are cankered; and their rust will be a witness against you, and will eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the Last Days.
Luke 16:23 - 24, Gospel
[So] in Hell [the rich man] lifts up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus [the beggar] in his bosom. And he cries and says, "Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."
And [thus] the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of the Garden, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever God has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, God has forbidden them both to the disbelievers."
22:21 - 22, Qur'an
And for [striking] them are maces of iron. Every time they want to get out of [Hellfire] from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"
Malachi 4:1, Torah
[So] behold, the Day comes that will burn as an oven; and all the proud, and all who do wickedly, will be stubble, and the Day that comes will burn them up, the Lord of hosts says, that it will leave them neither root or branch -
25:13 - 14, Qur'an
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
Matthew 7:13 - 14, Gospel
[And thus, Jesus said,] "Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in there, because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
[2 Ezra 9:15 - 16], Torah
[And thus] I have said before, and now do speak, and will speak it also hereafter, that there are many more of those who perish, than of those who will be saved; as a wave is greater than a drop.
10:99 - 101, Qur'an
[But] had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, would you compel the people in order that they become believers? And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of God, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason. Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe -
[For] We have certainly multiplied for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey God in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
1 Chronicles 21:15, Torah
[For remember when] God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it, and as he was destroying, the Lord beheld, and He eased Himself of the evil, and [God] said to the angel that destroyed, "It is enough, relax your hand now." And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
3:125 - 127, Qur'an
[So] yes, if you remain patient and conscious of God and the enemy come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]. And God did not make it except as [a sign of] good news for you and to reassure your hearts thereby. And victory is not except from God, the Almighty, the Most Wise - that He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed.
2:98 - 99, Qur'an
[So yes,] whoever is an enemy to God and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, God is an enemy to the disbelievers. And We have certainly revealed to you verses [which are] clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the defiantly disobedient.
Exodus 23:20 - 22, Torah
[For God has said,] "Behold, [when] I send an angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared - beware of him, and obey his voice, do not provoke him; for he will not pardon your transgressions, for My name [is] in him. But if you will indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.
Exodus 23:23, Torah
For My angel will go before you, and bring you in to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I will cut them off."
37:22 - 24, Qur'an
[For the angels will be ordered,] "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to serve other than God, and guide them to the path of Hellfire and stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
[Book of Enoch 54:6], Torah
And Michael and Gabriel, Raphael and Phanuel - these will take hold of them on that Great Day, and throw them, on that Day, into the furnace of burning Fire, so that the Lord of spirits may take vengeance on them for their iniquity, in that they became servants of Satan, and led astray those who dwell upon the dry ground.
[For] if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire."
56:88 - 94, Qur'an
[But] if the deceased was of those brought near to God, then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. And if he was of the companions of the right, then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water and burning in Hellfire -
43:75 - 77, Qur'an
It will not be allowed to subside for them, and they, therein, are in despair. And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers. And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."
Deuteronomy 32:37 - 41, Torah
And He will say, "Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, who ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me; I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; neither are there any that can deliver out of My hand. For I lift up My hand to heaven, and say, I live forever. If I whet My glittering sword, and My hand takes hold on judgement; I will render vengeance to My enemies, and will reward those who hate Me."
Luke 12:4 - 5, Gospel
[And so Jesus said,] "And [so] I say to you my friends, 'Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.' But I will forewarn you whom you will fear, 'Fear Him, which after He has killed has power to cast into Hell;' indeed, I say to you, 'Fear Him.'"
Isaiah 45:7 - 8, Torah
[And thus the Lord says,] "I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil, I the Lord do all these [things]. Drop down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness, let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it."
[Thus] to God belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best.
[And] the Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And God warns you of Himself, and God is Kind to [His] servants.
[And so] whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it; and whoever comes with an evil deed - then those who did evil deeds will not be recompensed except [as much as] what they used to do.
114:1 - 6, Qur'an
[And] say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind. The God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer - who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - from among jinn and mankind."
Luke 4:6 - 7, Gospel
[Remember that the devil said,] "All this power will I give you, and their glory, for that is delivered to me [by God]; and to whomever I will I give it. If you will therefore prostrate to me, all will be yours."
34:20 - 22, Qur'an
[So Satan] had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a group of believers. And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian. Say, "Invoke those you claim besides God." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant -
And [yet], among the people are those who take other than God as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love God. But those who believe are stronger in love for God. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to God and that God is severe in punishment.
[So] say, "O God, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things Powerful."
[Book of Enoch 9:5], Torah
[For] You [O God] have made everything, and power over everything is Yours. And everything is uncovered, and open, in front of You, and You see everything, and there is nothing that can be hidden from You.
[Wisdom of Solomon 12:17 - 18], Torah
For when men will not believe that You are of a full power, You show Your strength, and among those who know it, You make their boldness manifest. But You, mastering Your power, judge with equity, and order us with great favor; for You may use power when You will.
[So] do not let those who disbelieve ever think that [because] We extend their time [of enjoyment] it is better for them. We only extend it for them so that they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment.
23:54 - 56, Qur'an
So leave them in their confusion for a time. Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive.
45:27 - 29, Qur'an
[That] to God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose. And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do. This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do."
40:16 - 18, Qur'an
[Thus] the Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from God. To whom belongs the kingdom this Day? To God, the One, the Prevailing. This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice Today! Indeed, God is swift in account. [So] warn them, of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.
[But] your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape.
[For] those before them had already plotted, but God came at their building from the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 - 3, Gospel
For you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they will say, 'Peace and safety;' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they will not escape.
11:19 - 20, Qur'an
Who averted [people] from the way of God and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers. Those were not causing failure [to God] on earth, nor did they have besides God any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see -
