Isaiah 45:20 - 21, Torah
[So] assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you [who have] escaped from the nations, they have no knowledge who set up the wood [cross] of their graven image, and pray to a god [that] cannot save. Tell [them] and bring [them] near; let them take counsel together, who has declared this from ancient time? [Who] has told it from that time? [Have] I not [told it], the Lord? And [there is] no god beside Me; a just God and a Savior; [there are] none beside Me."
7:196 - 197, Qur'an
[So] indeed, my Savior is God, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the righteous. And those you call upon besides Him are unable to help you, nor can they help themselves.

[For] look at the generations of old, and see; did any ever trust in the Lord, and were confounded? Or did any abide in His fear, and were forsaken? Or whom did He ever despise, who called upon Him? For the Lord is full of compassion and mercy, longsuffering, and very pitiful, and forgives sins, and saves in a time of affliction.

And [remember] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful." So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him his family [back] and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the servants [of God].
21:87 - 88, Qur'an
And [remember] the man of the fish [Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Rather, God raised him to Himself. And God is Almighty and Wise.
[Wisdom of Solomon 13:17 - 14:1], Torah
[For] he makes prayer for his goods, for his wife and children, and is not ashamed to speak to that which has no life. For health, he calls upon that which is weak; for life, prays to that which is dead; for aid, humbly beseeches that which has least means to help; and for a good journey he asks of that which cannot set a foot forward: and for gaining and getting, and for good success of his hands, asks ability to do of him, that is most unable to do anything. Again, one preparing himself to sail, and about to pass through the raging waves, calls upon a piece of wood more rotten than the vessel that carries him.
Jeremiah 10:14 - 15, Torah
[Thus] every man is brutish in [his] knowledge, every founder is confounded by the graven image, for his molten image [is] falsehood, and [there is] no breath in them. They [are] vanity, [and] the work of errors, they will perish in the time of their visitation -
7:192, Qur'an

[Baruch 6:12 - 14], Torah
[For] one [idol] holds a scepter like the governor of a province, yet is powerless to put anyone to death who offends him. Another holds sword and mace in his right hand, yet is powerless to defend himself against war or thieves. It is evident from this that they are not gods; do not be afraid of them.
*Exodus 32:6 - 9, Torah

And the Lord said to Moses, "Go, get down; for your people, whom you brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted [themselves]. They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them, they have made themselves a molten calf, and have prostrated to it, and have sacrificed thereto, and said, 'These [are] your gods, O Israel, which have brought you up out of the land of Egypt.'" And the Lord said to Moses, "I have seen these people, and, behold, they [are] a stiffnecked people.'"

Romans 1:21 - 23, Gospel
Because when they knew God, they did not glorify [Him] as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Deuteronomy 10:12 - 13, Torah
[So] now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep the commandments of the Lord, and His statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
Matthew 22:37 - 38, Gospel
[And so remember when the prophet Jesus arose, he said,] "'You will love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment."
3:31 - 32, Qur'an
[So] say [likewise, O prophet Muhammad], "If you should love God, then follow me, [so] God will love you and forgive your sins. And God is Forgiving and Merciful." Say, "Obey God and the messenger." But if they turn away - then indeed, God does not love the disbelievers.

And the goat will bear all their iniquities upon itself to an uninhabited land, and he will let the goat go in the wilderness."
4:111, Qur'an
[Thus] whoever earns a sin only earns it against himself. And God is Knowing and Wise.
Galatians 6:4 - 5, Gospel
But [rather,] let every man prove his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man will bear his own burden.
53:36 - 41, Qur'an
Or has he not been informed of what was in the Scriptures of Moses and [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - that no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another? And that there is nothing for man except that for which he strives and that his effort is going to be seen - then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense.
Romans 2:5 - 6, Gospel

47:9, Qur'an
That is because they disliked what God sent down, so He rendered their deeds worthless.
7:8 - 9, Qur'an
[For] the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who will be the successful. And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who will lose their souls for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses.
Romans 7:12, Gospel
[For] the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

For verily I say to you, 'Until heaven and earth pass, one jot or one letter will in no wise pass from the law, until all is fulfilled.' Whoever therefore will break one of these least commandments, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever will do and teach [them], the same will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.
1 Corinthians 6:9 - 10, Gospel
[Then] do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? [So] do not be deceived, [for] neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.
James 2:20, Gospel
Will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:17, Gospel
[No, for] faith, if it has no works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:21 - 22, Gospel
[For was the faith of] our father Abraham not justified by works, when he had offered his son [Ishmael] upon the altar? Do you see how faith acted with his works, and faith was made perfect by works?
37:106 - 111, Qur'an
[For] indeed, this was a clear trial. And We ransomed [his son] with a great sacrifice, and We left [favorable remembrance] for [Abraham] among later generations. Peace upon Abraham. Indeed, We thus reward the workers of good. Indeed, [Abraham] was among Our faithful servants.
James 2:24 - 26, Gospel
You see then, how a man is justified by [good] works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was the harlot Rahab not also justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent [them] out [safely] another way? For as the body is dead without the spirit, so is faith also dead without works.
Matthew 7:13 - 14, Gospel
[And thus, Jesus said,] "Enter in at the strait gate, for the gate is wide, and the way is broad, that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in there, because the gate is strait, and the way is narrow, which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

12:103, Qur'an
And [so] most of the people, although you desire [it], are not believers.
43:78, Qur'an
[For] We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth.
James 5:1 - 3, Gospel
[So] go now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that will come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are cankered; and their rust will be a witness against you, and will eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the Last Days.
Luke 16:23 - 24, Gospel
[So] in Hell [the rich man] lifts up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus [the beggar] in his bosom. And he cries and says, "Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."
78:24 - 25, Qur'an
[But] they will not taste [any] coolness or drink therein except scalding water and [foul] purulence.
22:21 - 22, Qur'an
And there [will be] maces of iron for [striking] them. Every time they want to get out of [Hellfire] from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"
74:35 - 37, Qur'an
[So] indeed, [the Fire] is among the greatest [afflictions] as a warning to humanity - to whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind.
25:13 - 14, Qur'an
And [thus,] when they are thrown into a narrow place bound in chains therein, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
5:98, Qur'an
Know that God is severe in penalty and that God is Forgiving and Merciful.

[So] inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment -
27:11, Qur'an
He who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful.
2:161 - 162, Qur'an
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - the curse of God and the angels and the people will be upon them, all together, abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.
3:86 - 89, Qur'an
[For] how should God guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the messenger is true and clear proofs had come to them? And God does not guide the wrongdoing people. Those - their recompense will be that the curse of God and the angels and the people is upon them all together, abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved. Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
4:145 - 146, Qur'an
[And] indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire - and you will never find a helper for them - except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to God, and are sincere in their religion for God, for those will be with the believers. And soon God is going to give the believers a great reward.
25:68 - 70, Qur'an
And [they are] those who do not invoke another god with God or kill the soul which God has forbidden [to be killed], except by truth, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. The punishment will be multiplied for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide humiliated therein - except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work - for them, God will replace their evil with good. And God is Forgiving and Merciful.
4:106, Qur'an
[So] seek forgiveness from God. Indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
Luke 6:36 - 37, Gospel
"Therefore, be merciful, as your [Lord] is also Merciful. Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven."
[Sirach 28:2 - 4], Torah
[So] forgive your neighbor the hurt that he has done to you, so your sins will also be forgiven when you pray. One man bears hatred against another, and does he seek pardon from the Lord? He shows no mercy to a man, who is like himself; and does he ask forgiveness for his own sins?
3:133 - 134, Qur'an
[So] hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for those who fear [God], who spend [in the cause of God] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and God loves the doers of good -
42:37, Qur'an
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive.
Matthew 6:12 - 13, Gospel
[So say,] "Forgive our debts [O God], as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for the kingdom is Yours, and the power, and the glory, forever."
9:113 - 114, Qur'an
It is not for the prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for those who associate others [with God], even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire. And the request for forgiveness from Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to Abraham that his father was an enemy to God, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed Abraham was compassionate and forbearing -
19:47 - 48, Qur'an
[Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, He is gracious to me. And I will leave you and those you invoke other than God and I will invoke my Lord. Perhaps I will not be unhappy in invocation to my Lord.
14:40 - 41, Qur'an
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established."
63:5 - 6, Qur'an
[But] when it is said to them, "Come, the messenger of God will ask for forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant. It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; God will never forgive them. Indeed, God does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
4:63 - 64, Qur'an
Those are the ones whom God knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them but admonish them and speak a far-reaching word to them. [For] We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of God. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, and asked forgiveness from God and the messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found God Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
Genesis 6:5 - 7, Torah
[For remember when] God saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] continually only evil. And the Lord repented that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. And the Lord said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents Me that I have made them."
21:23, Qur'an
[And] He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.
[Wisdom of Solomon 12:12 - 13], Torah
For who will say, "What have You done? Or who will withstand Your judgement? Or who will accuse You for the nations that perish, whom You made? Or who will come to stand against You, to be revenged for the unrighteous men?" For neither is there any god but You, who cares for all, to whom You might show that Your judgement is not unright.
47:10 - 11, Qur'an
Have they not traveled through the land and seen how the end was for those before them? God destroyed [everything] over them, and there is something comparable for the disbelievers. That is because God is the Savior of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no savior.
54:11 - 16, Qur'an
[Whereby] We opened the gates of the heaven with water pouring down and caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails, sailing under Our eyes as reward for he who had been denied. And We left it as a sign, so are there any who will remember? And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
54:32 - 33, Qur'an
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so are there any who will remember? [For] the people of Lot [also] denied the warning.
2 Peter 2:6 - 7, Gospel
[Thus,] turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, [He] condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an example to those who after should live ungodly. [But He] delivered the just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.
Job 34:25 - 27, Torah

Psalms 37:38 - 39, Torah
[And thus] the transgressors will be destroyed together, the end of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble.
See the Last Day for the pattern of the messengers
27:48 - 49, Qur'an
And there were nine family heads in the city causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs]. They said, "Take a mutual oath by God that we will kill [Salih] by night, him and his family. Then we will say to his protector, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.'"
Luke 23:21, Gospel
[And] they cried, saying, "Crucify [Jesus], crucify him."
48:23 - 24, Qur'an
[For this is the established] way of God which has occurred before. And you will never find any change in the way of God. And [thus] it is He who withheld their hands from you [O Muhammad] and your hands from them within [the area of] Mecca after He caused you to overcome them. And God is Seeing of what you do.
3:150, Qur'an
[And thus] God is your Savior, and He is the best of helpers.
Psalms 37:39 - 40, Torah
[For] the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord will help them, and deliver them, He will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

Matthew 7:22 - 23, Gospel
[For Jesus said,] "Many will say to me in that Day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name [O Jesus, my Lord and Savior]? And in your name [O Lord Jesus] we have cast out devils? And in your name [O Lord Jesus] done many wonderful works?' And then I will profess to them, 'I never knew you, depart from me, you who work iniquity.'"
Luke 13:26 - 27, Gospel
[But] then you will begin to say, "We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets." But [Jesus] will say, "I tell you, I do not know from where you are, depart from me, workers of iniquity."
Isaiah 43:11 - 12, Torah
"[For] I, [even] I, [am] the Lord; and [there is] no savior beside Me. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shown, when [there was] no strange [god] among you, therefore you [are] My witnesses," the Lord says, "That I [am] God -
Deuteronomy 32:37 - 39, Torah
And He will say, "Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me, I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal, neither are there any that can deliver out of My hand."
[For] Musaddad told us that Yahya told us on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Dhakwan, then on the authority of Abu Raja’, then on the authority of Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Some people will be taken out of the Fire through the intercession of Muhammad they will enter Paradise and will be called Al-Jahannamiyin (the Hell Fire people)." - Sahih al-Bukhari
3:23 - 24, Qur'an
[Then] do you not consider those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They are invited to the Book of God so that it should judge between them; then a group of them turns away, and they are refusing. That is because they say, "The Fire will never touch us except for [a few] numbered days," and [because] they were deluded in their religion by what they were inventing -
[For] we were told by Hadaba bin Khalid, then from Hammam, then from Qatadah, then from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Some people will come out of the Fire after they have received a touch of the Fire, changing their color, and they will enter Paradise, and the people of Paradise will name them 'Al- Jahannamiyin' the (Hell) Fire people." - Sahih al-Bukhari
2:79 - 81, Qur'an
So woe to those who write the "book" with their own hands, then say, "This is from God," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn - [for] they say, "The Fire will never touch us, except for a few days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with God? For God will never break His covenant. Or do you say something about God which you do not know?" [For] yes, whoever earns evil and his sin has encompassed him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
18:44, Qur'an
The [only] protection is from God, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome.
Isaiah 45:22 - 23, Torah
[So] look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I [am] God, and [there are] none else. I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth [in] righteousness, and will not return, 'That to Me, every knee will bow, every tongue will swear.'"
19:69 - 72, Qur'an
Then We will surely extract those who were worst in insolence against the Most Gracious from every sect. Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein. And there are none of you except he will come to [Hell upon his knees]. This is an inevitability decreed upon your Lord. Then We will save those who feared God and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.
21:101 - 103, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are far removed from [Hell]. They will not hear its sound, while they are abiding eternally in that which their souls desire. They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will receive them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised."
52:26 - 28, Qur'an
They will say, "Indeed, we were previously fearful [of God] among our people. So God conferred favor upon us and saved us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire. Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."
52:17 - 18, Qur'an
[So] indeed, the righteous will be in Gardens and pleasure, enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord saved them from the punishment of Hellfire -
76:11, Qur'an
God will save them from the evil of that Day and meet them with radiance and happiness.
