The Trustworthy Spirit has Brought the Qur'an Down upon Muhammad's Heart

And Indeed it is Mentioned in the Former Scriptures, for Jesus Said, "I Bring Good News of a Messenger to Come After me"

61:6, Qur'an
[So remember] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of God to you, confirming what is in my hands of the Torah and bringing good news of a messenger to come after me…

John 16:8, New Testament
And when he has come, he will expose the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement.

John 15:26, New Testament
[And] when the Comforter has come… the Spirit of Truth… he will testify of me.

John 16:13, New Testament
[And] when the Spirit of Truth has come, he will guide you into all truth…"

26:193 - 197, Qur'an
[And thus,] the Trustworthy Spirit has brought [the Qur'an] down
upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - so that you may be among the warners in a clear Arabic language.  And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the Scriptures of former [peoples].  And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

John 14:26, New Testament
[For in the Bible, Jesus said,] "The Comforter, [which is] the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you."

42:52, Qur'an
[So indeed,] We have revealed a [Holy] Spirit to you, [O Muhammad], by Our command.  You did not know what the Scripture is or [what] faith [is], but We have made it a light by which We guide whomever We will of Our servants.  And indeed, you guide to a straight path -

12:111, Qur'an
…[For the Qur'an] is not an invented narration, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

5:19, Qur'an
[So] O People of the Scripture, Our messenger has come to you to make [the religion] clear to you after a period [of suspension] of messengers, unless you should say, "No bringer of good news or warner came to us."  But a bringer of good news and a warner has come to you.  And God is Powerful over all things.

61:14, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, be supporters of God, as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters for God?" The disciples said, "We are supporters of God." And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.

Sections of Comforter

Do they Say, "There is a Devil in Muhammad?" For No Messenger Came Except that they Said, "He is Possessed by Devils"

But Indeed, the Qur'an is Not the Word of a Devil, and Jesus and John were Among the Righteous

23:70, Qur'an
Do they say, "[There] is [a devil of] jinn in [Muhammad]?"  Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth -

John 7:12, New Testament
[Just as] there was much murmuring among the people concerning [Jesus], for some said, "He is a good man."  Others said, "No; but he deceives the people."

John 10:20, New Testament
And many of them said, "[Jesus] has a devil, and is mad; why do you hear him?"

Matthew 11:18, New Testament
[And] John came neither eating or drinking, and they say, "He has a devil."

51:52, Qur'an
[And thus,] no messenger came to those before them except that they said, "A magician or [a man] possessed [by devils]."

6:85, Qur'an
[But indeed,] Jesus and Zacharias and John and Elijah - all [were] among the righteous.

68:4 - 6, Qur'an
And indeed, you [O Muhammad] are of a great moral character.
So you will see and they will see which of you is being tempted [by a devil] -

81:25, Qur'an
[For indeed, the Qur'an] is not the word of an expelled devil -

26:211 - 212, Qur'an
It is not allowable for them [to bring the revelation down], nor would they be able.
Indeed, they are removed from [its] hearing.

26:221 - 223, Qur'an
[So] should I inform you whom the devils descend upon?
They descend upon every sinful liar.  They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

45:7 - 8, Qur'an
[So] woe to every sinful liar,
who hears the verses of God recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them.  So give him good news of a painful punishment.

Those who Disbelieved - God will Never Forgive them, for the Holy Spirit has Brought the Qur'an Down from your Lord in Truth

And We Supported Jesus with the Holy Spirit, for God Places the Holy Spirit upon whomever He Wills of His Servants

40:15, Qur'an
[God is] Raised High above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the [Holy] Spirit from His command upon whomever He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting.

2:87, Qur'an
And [so] We certainly gave Moses the Book and followed up with messengers after him. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit…

Mark 3:30, New Testament
[But] they said, "[Jesus] has an unclean spirit."

2:87, Qur'an
…[And so] is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant?  And you denied a group and you killed another group -

Acts 7:51, New Testament
…You always resist the Holy Spirit, as your fathers [did], so [do] you.

Matthew 12:31, New Testament
…But the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Spirit will not be forgiven to men -

Zechariah 7:12, Old Testament
[For] they made their hearts [as] an adamant stone, unless they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts has sent in His [Holy] Spirit by the former prophets, therefore a great wrath came from the Lord of hosts -

2:90, Qur'an
How wretched is that for which they sold their souls - that they would disbelieve in what God has sent down through [their] outrage that God would send His favor down upon whomever He wills from among His servants. So they incurred wrath upon wrath. And there is a humiliating punishment for the disbelievers -

16:2, Qur'an
[For] He sends the angels down with the [Holy] Spirit from His command upon whomever He wills of His servants, [telling them], "Warn that there is no god except Me; so fear Me."

16:102 - 103, Qur'an
[And indeed,] the Holy Spirit has brought [the Qur'an] down from your Lord in truth to make those who believe firm and as guidance and good news to those in submission [to God].
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches the prophet." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this [Qur'an] is [in] a clear Arabic language.

2:97 - 98, Qur'an
[So] say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [indeed] he who has brought [the Qur'an] down upon your heart, [O Muhammad,] by permission of God, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good news for the believers.
[And so] whoever is an enemy to God and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, God is an enemy to the disbelievers" -

47:34, Qur'an
[For] indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of God and then died while they were disbelievers - God will never forgive them.
