75:6, Qur'an
[So] he asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?
77:14 - 17, Qur'an
And what can make you know what the Day of [Judgement] is?" [And thus, your Lord says,] "Woe to the deniers that Day. Did We not destroy the former [peoples]? Then We will follow them with the later ones -
[2 Ezra 2:8 - 9], Torah
[For] remember what I did to Sodom and Gomorrah, you wicked people; whose land lies in clods of pitch and heaps of ashes; even so will I also do to those who do not hear Me," the Almighty Lord says -
11:82 - 83, Qur'an
[For] when Our command came, We made the highest part its lowest and rained stones of layered hard clay upon them, [which were] marked from your Lord. And [God's punishment] is not far from the wrongdoers.
43:55 - 56, Qur'an
And when [Pharaoh and the Egyptians] angered Us, We took retribution from them and drowned them all. And We made them a precedent and an example for the later [peoples] -
18:58 - 59, Qur'an
[But] your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened the punishment for them. Rather, there is an appointment for them from which they will never find an escape. [For] We [also] made an appointed time for the destruction [of] those cities [of the former peoples] - [and] We destroyed them when they wronged.
51:59 - 60, Qur'an
[So] indeed, there is a portion [of punishment] for those who have wronged like the portion of their predecessors, so do not let them impatiently urge Me. And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised -
33:61 - 63, Qur'an
[For they will be] accursed wherever they are found, [being] seized and massacred completely. [This is the established] way of God with those who passed on before; and you will not find any change in the way of God. [And so] people ask you concerning the Hour. [So] say, "Knowledge of it is only with God. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near."

Seven of the Often Repeated Narrations
How Many Cities are Now Fallen into Ruin?
Muhammad Warned Makkah
Muhammad was Ridiculed
The Disbelievers Plotted to Kill or Evict them
Makkah was Destroyed
We will Save Our Messengers
There is a Messenger for Every Nation
The Mockers will Say, "Legends of the Former Peoples"
They will Hate and Evict those who Believe
God will Destroy the Later Peoples
1. God sent a messenger from themselves to warn them of their destruction just as He destroyed the former peoples
2. Those who disbelieved denied and ridiculed their messenger
3. Every nation intended to seize, kill, or evict their messenger
4. The messenger and those who believed were saved by God, and the criminals were destroyed
5. Then God brought forth a generation of others after them and sent His messengers in succession, until He made you successors in the land
53:50 - 54, Qur'an
[For] He destroyed the first [people] of 'Aad, and Thamud - and He did not spare [them]. And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. And He hurled down the overturned towns and covered them by that which He covered.
36:17, Qur'an
And we [messengers] are not responsible for [anything] except clear notification."
6:48 - 49, Qur'an
[For] We do not send the messengers except as bringers of good news and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.
38:12 - 14, Qur'an
The people of Noah denied before them, and 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, and Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies. Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified -
15:11 - 13, Qur'an
[For] no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him. Thus, We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals. They will not believe in it, while the precedent of the former [peoples] has already occurred -
86:15 - 17, Qur'an
[So] indeed, they are [also] planning a plan, but I am planning a plan. So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
69:5 - 6, Qur'an
So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind.
69:9 - 10, Qur'an
And Pharaoh came with sin, and [also] those before him and the overturned cities. And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity] -
Psalms 37:38 - 40, Torah
[For] the transgressors will be destroyed together, the end of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord will help them, and deliver them, He will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.
2 Peter 2:6 - 7, Gospel
And [thus,] turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, [God] condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an example to those after who should live ungodly; [but God] delivered the just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.
40:84 - 85, Qur'an
And when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in God alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate [with Him]." But their faith never benefited them once they saw Our punishment. [It is the established] way of God which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost -
50:12 - 14, Qur'an
[For] the people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud and 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot and the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat came true.
23:42, Qur'an
Then We produced other generations after them.
6:133 - 134, Qur'an
[For] your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession to whomever He wills after you, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people. [So] indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to God] -
Genesis 6:11 - 13, Torah
[For] the earth was also corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted His way upon the earth. And God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth."
11:25 - 26, Qur'an
And [thus] We had certainly sent Noah to his people, saying, "Indeed, I am a clear warner to you, that you do not serve [anything] except God. Indeed, I fear the punishment for you on a painful day.
71:3 - 4, Qur'an
[So] serve God, fear Him and obey me. He will forgive your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, when the term [set by] God comes, it will not be delayed, if you only knew.
71:10, Qur'an
[So] ask forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Perpetual Forgiver."
71:5 - 8, Qur'an
[So Noah] said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to You] night and day. But my invitation did not increase them in [anything] except flight. And indeed, every time I invited them so that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with great arrogance. Then I invited them publicly."
11:38 - 39, Qur'an
And [so] he constructed the ark, and whenever an assembly of the eminent of his people passed by him, they ridiculed him. He said, "If you ridicule us, then we will ridicule you just as you ridicule. And you are going to know who will get a punishment that will disgrace him [on earth] and upon whom an enduring punishment will descend [in the Hereafter]."
26:117, Qur'an
[So] he said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.
71:22 - 24, Qur'an
And they conspired an immense conspiracy. And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.' And they have already misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers in [anything] except error.
54:11 - 12, Qur'an
[So] We opened the gates of the heaven with water pouring down and caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.
26:119 - 120, Qur'an
[But] We saved him and those with him in the laden ark. Then We drowned the remaining ones thereafter.
2 Peter 2:5, Gospel
[Thus, God] did not spare the old world, but saved Noah,
2 Peter 2:5, Gospel
A preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
54:15 - 17, Qur'an
And We left it as a sign, so are there any who will remember? And how severe were My punishment and warning. And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so are there any who will remember?
26:123, Qur'an
'Aad [also] denied the messengers,
26:135, Qur'an
[So] indeed, I fear the punishment for you on a great day -
26:130 - 131, Qur'an
[For] when you strike, you strike as tyrants. So fear God and obey me -
7:68, Qur'an
[For] I convey the messages of my Lord to you, and I am a trustworthy adviser to you.
26:136 - 138, Qur'an
[For] they said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not among the advisors. This is nothing but the custom of the former [peoples], and we are not to be punished."
11:53 - 54, Qur'an
[But] they said, "O Hud, you have not brought us clear evidence, and we are not ones to leave our gods on your say-so. Nor are we believers in you. We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil."
11:54 - 56, Qur'an
[Hud] said, "Indeed, I call God to witness, and witness [yourselves] that I am innocent from whatever you associate other than Him. So plot against me all together; then do not give me respite. Indeed, I trust in God, my Lord and your Lord.
46:24 - 25, Qur'an
[But] when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that which you were impatient for: a wind, within it [is] a painful punishment, destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus, We recompense the criminal people.
54:23, Qur'an
Thamud denied the warning -
26:142 - 143, Qur'an
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear [God]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
26:146 - 148, Qur'an
Will you be left secure in what is here, within gardens and springs, and fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?
26:151 - 152, Qur'an
And do not obey the order of the transgressors, who cause corruption in the land and do not amend.
26:150, Qur'an
So fear God and obey me."
54:24 - 25, Qur'an
[But] Thamud said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."
26:153 - 154, Qur'an
They said, "You are only among those affected by magic. You are nothing but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be among the truthful."
27:48 - 50, Qur'an
And there were nine family heads in the city causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs]. They said, "Take a mutual oath by God that we will kill [Salih] by night, him and his family. Then we will say to his protector, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.'" And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they did not perceive.
26:155 - 156, Qur'an
[So Salih] said, "This is a she-camel. There is a drink for her, and there is a drink for you, [each] on a known day. And do not touch her with harm, unless you should be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."
7:77 - 78, Qur'an
[But] they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be among the messengers." So the earthquake seized them, and they became [corpses] fallen prone within their homes.
54:29 - 31, Qur'an
[For] they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]. And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. Indeed, We sent one blast [from the heaven] upon them, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.
27:51 - 53, Qur'an
Then look at how the outcome of their plan was - that We destroyed them and their people, all. So those are their houses, in ruins because of the wrong they had done. Indeed there is a sign in that for people who know. [But] We saved those who believed and used to fear [God] -
29:16 - 18, Qur'an
[For] We sent Abraham, [and] he said to his people, "Serve God and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. You only serve idols besides God, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you serve besides God do not possess provision for you. So seek provision from God and serve Him and be grateful to Him. You will be returned to Him. And if you deny - nations before you have already denied. And there is no [duty] upon the messenger except clear notification."
21:53, Qur'an
They said, "We found our fathers servants of them."
21:54, Qur'an
He said, "You were certainly in clear error, you and your fathers."
21:55, Qur'an
They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you among those who jest?"
21:56 - 57, Qur'an
He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I am among the witnesses to that. [And] by God, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."
21:59, Qur'an
They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is among the wrongdoers."
21:63 - 65, Qur'an
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak." So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers." Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"
37:95 - 96, Qur'an
[So Abraham] said, "Do you serve that which you [yourselves] carve, while God created you and that which you do?"
21:68, Qur'an
[And his people] said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
37:97, Qur'an
[So his people] said, "Construct a furnace for him and throw him into the 'Hellfire.'"
21:69, Qur'an
[For] God said, "O fire, be coolness and peace upon Abraham."
21:70, Qur'an
[And] so they intended harm for him, but We made them the greatest in loss.
21:71, Qur'an
[So] We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds.
54:33, Qur'an
The people of Lot denied the warning -
Genesis 13:13, Torah
[For] the men of Sodom [were] wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.
26:161 - 162, Qur'an
[So] their brother Lot said to [his people], "Will you not fear [God]? Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
26:165 - 166, Qur'an
Do you approach males among the worlds and leave what your Lord has created as mates for you? But you are a transgressing people.
26:163, Qur'an
So fear God and obey me."
15:68 - 69, Qur'an
Lot said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. And fear God and do not disgrace me.
29:30, Qur'an
He said, "My Lord, support me against the corrupting people."
26:167, Qur'an
[So] they said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be among those evicted."
26:168 - 169, Qur'an
He said, "Indeed, I am among those who detest your deed. My Lord, save me and my family from what they do."
26:170 - 173, Qur'an
So We saved [Lot] and his family, all, except an old woman among those who remained behind. Then We destroyed the others. And We rained a rain [of stones] upon them, and the rain of those who were warned was [indeed] evil -
54:36 - 38, Qur'an
[For] Lot had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. And they had sought to seduce his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning." And an abiding punishment came upon them by early morning -
15:74 - 77, Qur'an
[Whereby] We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained stones of hard clay upon them. Indeed, there are signs in that for those who discern. And indeed, [Sodom is situated] on an established road. Indeed, there is a sign in that for the believers -
7:83 - 84, Qur'an
[But] We saved [Lot] and his family, except for his wife; she was among those who remained [with the evildoers]. And We rained a rain [of stones] upon them. Then look at how the end was for the criminals -
26:176, Qur'an
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers -
26:179, Qur'an
So fear God and obey me.
11:89, Qur'an
[So] O my people, do not let my dissension cause you to sin,
26:185 - 187, Qur'an
[And] they said, "You are only among those affected by magic. You are nothing but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. So cause fragments of the heaven to fall upon us, if you should be among the truthful."
11:94 - 95, Qur'an
[So] when Our command came, We saved Shu'ayb and those who believed with him by mercy from Us. And the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became [corpses] fallen prone within their homes as if they had never prospered therein. Then, away with Midian as Thamud was taken away.
7:92 - 93, Qur'an
[And thus,] those who denied Shu'ayb - it was as though they had never prospered there. Those who denied Shu'ayb - it was they who were in loss. And he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I had certainly conveyed the messages of my Lord to you and advised you, so how could I grieve for a disbelieving people?"
54:41, Qur'an
And warning certainly came to the people of Pharaoh -
23:45, Qur'an
[And so] We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority,
20:43, Qur'an
[Whereby We said to them,] "Go to Pharaoh, both of you. Indeed, he has transgressed -
20:44, Qur'an
And speak to him with gentle speech so that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [God].
20:47 - 48, Qur'an
So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send the Children of Israel with us and do not torment them. We have come with a sign to you from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.'"
43:51 - 54, Qur'an
And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does the kingdom of Egypt not [belong] to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see? Or am I not better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear? Then why have bracelets of gold not been placed upon him or angels come with him in conjunction?" So he persuaded his people to make light [of Moses], and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient of God -
43:47, Qur'an
[For] when [Moses] brought them Our signs, at once they laughed at them.
7:132 - 133, Qur'an
And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you." So We sent the flood upon them, and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.
40:28 - 29, Qur'an
[But] a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is God' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then his lie [will be] upon himself; but if he should be truthful, some of what he promises you will strike you. Indeed, God does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar. O my people, the kingdom is yours today, [you are] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of God if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you [anything] except what I see, and I do not guide you [anywhere] except to the way of right conduct."
40:30 - 31, Qur'an
And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear [a fate] for you like the day of the companies - like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And God wants no injustice for [His] servants."
26:53 - 56, Qur'an
[So] Pharaoh sent gatherers amongst the cities and said, "Indeed, those are only a small band, and indeed, they are enraging us, and indeed, we are a cautious society..."
26:62, Qur'an
[But Moses] said, "No! Indeed, my Lord is with me; He will guide me."
10:90 - 92, Qur'an
[So] We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no god except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am among those in submission [to God]." Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were among the corrupters? So today We will save you in body, so that you may be a sign to those who succeed you. And indeed, many among the people are heedless of Our signs -
Psalms 106:8 - 11, Torah
[For] He saved them for His name's sake, so that He might make His mighty power to be known. [For] He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up, so He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. And He saved them from the hand of him who hated [them], and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. And the waters covered their enemies; not one of them was left.
26:65 - 66, Qur'an
[And thus,] We saved Moses and those with him, all together. Then We drowned the others.
44:25 - 28, Qur'an
[So] how many gardens and springs did they leave behind, and [also] noble sites and crops and comfort wherein they were amused? Thus, and We caused another people to inherit it.
23:42 - 44, Qur'an
Then We produced other generations after them. No nation will precede its term, nor will they delay it. Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger came to his nation, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe.
22:42 - 44, Qur'an
[But] if they deny you [O Muhammad], - so did the people of Noah [1] and 'Aad [2] and Thamud [3] deny [their messengers] before them, and the people of Abraham [4] and the people of Lot [5] and the companions of Midian [6]. And Moses [7] was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
26:8 - 11, Qur'an
[So] indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. And [so remember] when your Lord called Moses [1], [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - the people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear [God]?"
26:65 - 70, Qur'an
[But they denied him, so] We saved Moses and those with him, all together. Then We drowned the others. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. And recite the news of Abraham [2] to them, when he said to his father and his people, "What do you serve?"
26:103 - 106, Qur'an
[But they denied him, so] indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. The people of Noah [3] denied the messengers, when their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear [God]?"
26:119 - 124, Qur'an
[But they denied him,] so We saved him and those with him in the laden ark. Then We drowned the remaining ones thereafter. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. 'Aad [4] denied the messengers, when their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear [God]?"
26:139 - 142, Qur'an
[But] they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. Thamud [5] denied the messengers, when their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear [God]?"
26:157 - 161, Qur'an
But they hamstrung [the female camel] and so became regretful. So the punishment seized them. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. The people of Lot [6] denied the messengers, when their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear [God]?"
26:173 - 177, Qur'an
[But they denied him, so] We rained a rain [of stones] upon them, and the rain of those who were warned was [indeed] evil. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. The companions of the thicket [7] denied the messengers, when Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear [God]?"
26:189 - 192, Qur'an
[But] they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a great day. Indeed there is a sign in that, but most of them are not believers. And indeed, your Lord - He is the Almighty, the Merciful. And indeed, [the Qur'an] is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds -
27:69, Qur'an
[So] say, "Travel through the land and observe how the end was for the criminals" -
29:38 - 39, Qur'an
[For We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception. And [We destroyed] Korah and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not out-runners [of Our punishment] -
44:25 - 27, Qur'an
[For] how many gardens and springs did [the ancient Egyptians] leave behind? And [also] crops and noble sites and comfort wherein they were amused?
22:45 - 46, Qur'an
[For] how many cities did We destroy while they were committing wrong - so they are [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] abandoned wells and [how many] lofty palaces? So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but the hearts are blinded which are within the chests -
11:101 - 102, Qur'an
And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than God when the command of your Lord came. And they did not increase them in [anything] other than ruin. And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.
40:82 - 85, Qur'an
[Then] have they not traveled through the land and observed how the end was for those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn. And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they merely rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. And when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in God alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate [with Him]." But their faith never benefited them once they saw Our punishment. [It is the established] way of God which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost.
53:56, Qur'an
[For] this [prophet] is a warner like the former warners.
73:15 - 16, Qur'an
[For] indeed, We have sent a messenger to you as a witness upon you just as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh. But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure.
89:6 - 9, Qur'an
[Or] have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad - [with] Iram - who had lofty pillars, the likes of which had never been created in the land? And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
15:76 - 77, Qur'an
[For] indeed, [Sodom is situated] on an established road. Indeed there is a sign in that for the believers -
37:137 - 138, Qur'an
[For] indeed, you pass by them at dawn and at night. Then will you not use reason?
15:78 - 79, Qur'an
And the companions of the thicket, [the people of Midian], were [also] wrongdoers. So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway.
54:43 - 45, Qur'an
[Then] are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or do you have immunity in the Scriptures? Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].
7:183 - 184, Qur'an
[For] I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm. Then do they not give thought? There is no [devil of] jinn in their companion. He is nothing but a clear warner -
37:177 - 179, Qur'an
But when it descends in their territory, then the dawn of those who were warned will [indeed] be evil. And turn away from them for a time. And see, for soon they are going to see.
38:4 - 5, Qur'an
[But] they wonder that a warner has come to them from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. Has he made the gods [only] one God? Indeed, this is a curious thing."
37:36, Qur'an
And they were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
38:6 - 7, Qur'an
And [so] the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is something intended. We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is nothing but a fabrication."
25:41 - 42, Qur'an
And when they see you, they do not take you in [anything] except ridicule, saying, "Is this the one whom God has sent as a messenger? He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in serving them." But they are going to know who is farthest astray in [his] way when they see the punishment -
43:29 - 31, Qur'an
[For] I gave enjoyment to these [people of Makkah] and their fathers until the truth and a clear messenger came to them. But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are disbelievers concerning it." And they said, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"
25:7 - 8, Qur'an
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was an angel not sent down to him so he would be a warner with him?" Or, "Has a treasure been cast [down] to him [from heaven]?" Or, "Does he have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You do not follow [anyone] but a man affected by magic."
32:2 - 3, Qur'an
[But this is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds. [Then] do they say, "He [himself] invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, so that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so that] perhaps they will be guided.
43:79, Qur'an
[So] have they devised [some] affair? But indeed, We are devising [a plan].
27:70, Qur'an
[So] do not grieve over them or be in distress from what they conspire -
37:174 - 176, Qur'an
So turn away from them for a time. And see [what will befall] them, for soon they are going to see. Then are they impatient for Our punishment?
37:171 - 173, Qur'an
[For] Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, [that] indeed, they would be those given help and [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
32:28 - 30, Qur'an
And [so] they say, "When will this conquest be, if you should be truthful?" Say, "On the Day of Conquest, the belief of those who had disbelieved will not benefit them, nor will they be reprieved." So turn away from them and wait. Indeed, they are waiting.
8:9 - 10, Qur'an
[For remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." And God did not make it [occur] except as good news and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And help is not from [anyone] but God. Indeed, God is Almighty and Wise.
48:1 - 3, Qur'an
[And so] indeed, We have given you a clear conquest so that God may forgive you for what preceded of your sin and what will follow and [so that He may] complete His favor upon you and guide you to a straight path. And [so that] God may aid you with a mighty victory.
33:26 - 27, Qur'an
And He brought those who supported them among the People of the Scripture down from their fortresses and cast terror into their hearts [so that] you killed a group, and you took a group captive. And He caused you to inherit their land and their homes and their wealth and a land which you have not trodden. And God is Powerful over all things.
37:171 - 172, Qur'an
Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, [that] indeed, they would be those given help -
29:15, Qur'an
But We saved him and the companions of the ark, and We made it a sign for the worlds.
26:170 - 171, Qur'an
So We saved [Lot] and his family, all, except an old woman among those who remained behind.
26:65, Qur'an
[So] We saved Moses and those with him, all together.
Mark 15:13, Gospel
And [remember when] they cried out again, [saying], "Crucify [Jesus]."
Psalms 37:39 - 40, Torah
[For] the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord will help them, and deliver them, He will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.
14:46 - 47, Qur'an
[For the wicked] had planned their plan, but their plan is with God, even if their plan had been to move the mountains. So never think that God will fail in His promise to His messengers. Indeed, God is Almighty and Owner of Retribution.
64:5 - 6, Qur'an
[Or] has the news of those who disbelieved before not come to you? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment. That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Should human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And God can do without [them]; and God is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
10:13 - 14, Qur'an
And [so] We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus, We recompense the criminal people. Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do -
53:29 - 30, Qur'an
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our reminder and does not desire [anything] except the worldly life. That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.
51:55, Qur'an
[But] remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
15:95, Qur'an
[So] indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers.
83:29 - 32, Qur'an
[For] indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting. And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
17:76 - 77, Qur'an
[For] indeed, they were about to scare you from the land to evict you therefrom. [But] then when they do, they will not remain there after you, except for a little. [That is Our established] way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find any alteration in Our way -
52:45 - 46, Qur'an
So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will faint - the Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.
77:8 - 18, Qur'an
So when the stars are obliterated, and when the heaven is opened, and when the mountains are blown away, and when the messengers' time has come... For what Day was it postponed? For the Day of [Judgement]. And what can make you know what the Day of [Judgement] is? Woe, that Day, to the deniers. Did We not destroy the former [peoples]? Then We will follow them with the later ones. Thus, We deal with the criminals.
10:48 - 49, Qur'an
And [so] they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" [So] say, "I do not possess any harm or benefit for myself except what God should will. There is a [specified] term for every nation. When their time has come, then they will not postpone it an hour, nor will they advance [it]."
40:77 - 78, Qur'an
So be patient, indeed, the promise of God is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, they will be returned to Us. And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those We have related to you, and among them are those We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of God. So when the command of God comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all].
