[*Barnabas 6:1 - 2], Gospel

[For] You did not desire sacrifice and offering; You have opened my ears, You have not required sin offering and burnt offering.  Then I said, "Behold, I come, in the volume of the Book [it is] written of me, I delight to do Your will, O my God, Your law [is] within my heart.

Psalms 40:9 - 10, Torah
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation, look, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, You know.  I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation, I have not concealed Your loving kindness and Your truth from the great congregation.

*Hebrews 10:7, Gospel
[For] I said, 'Look, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me), to do Your will, O God.'

Psalms 40:11 - 12, Torah
[So] do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord, let Your loving kindness and Your truth continually preserve me.  For innumerable evils have encompassed me about, my iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head, therefore my heart fails me.

Psalms 40:13, Torah
[So] be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me, O Lord, make haste to help me."

*Hebrews 10:6, Gospel
[For] You have had no pleasure in burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin.

Hosea 6:6, Torah
For [God said,] "I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings."

Matthew 12:7, Gospel
[And thus Jesus said,] "If you had known what [this] means, 'I will have mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Psalms 40:14 - 15, Torah
[So] let them be ashamed and confounded together, [those] who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame, [those] who wish me evil.  Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say to me, 'Aha, aha.'

Psalms 40:16 - 17, Torah
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You, let such who love Your salvation say continually, 'Let the Lord be magnified.'  But I [am] poor and needy; [yet] the Lord thinks upon me, You [are] my help and my deliverer; make no delay, O my God."

He who Sacrifices a Lamb, as if he Cut Off a Dog's Neck

They have Chosen their Own Ways, and Walked in the Imagination of their Evil Heart

[Barnabas 2:7 - 8], Gospel
And He says again to them; "Did I command your fathers when they went forth from the land of Egypt to bring Me whole burnt offerings and sacrifices?  No, this was My command to them, 'Let none of you bear a grudge of evil against his neighbor in his heart, and do not love a false oath."

[Barnabas 2:4], Gospel
For He has made manifest to us by all the prophets that He wants neither sacrifices or whole burnt offerings or oblations, saying at one time -

Isaiah 1:11, Torah
"To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?"  The Lord says, "I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of male goats."

Jeremiah 7:21 - 24, Torah
Thus the Lord of hosts says, the God of Israel; "Put your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat flesh.  For I did not speak to your fathers, nor command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices.  But I commanded them this thing, saying, 'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people, and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well to you.'  But they did not listen, nor incline their ear, but they walked in the counsels [and] in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Leviticus 17:11, Torah
For [they said,] "The life of the flesh [is] in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls, for it [is] the blood [that] makes an atonement for the soul."

1 Peter 1:19, Gospel
[And now they likewise say,] "[You are redeemed] with the precious blood of the Messiah, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

Isaiah 66:3 - 4, Torah
[But] he who sacrifices a lamb, [as if] he cut off a dog's neck; he who kills an ox [is as if] he slew a man; he who offers an oblation, [as if he offered] swine's blood; he who burns incense, [as if] he blessed an idol.  They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.  I will also choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none answered; when I spoke, they did not hear, but they did evil before My eyes, and chose [that] in which I did not delight.

Psalms 30:9, Torah
[So] what profit [is there] in my blood, when I go down to the pit?  Should the dust praise You?  Will it declare Your truth?

Psalms 51:16, Torah
For You do not desire sacrifice; else would I give [it], You do not delight in burnt offering.

Proverbs 21:3, Torah
To do justice and judgement [is] more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Micah 6:6 - 8, Torah
[So] with what will I come before the Lord, [and] bow myself before the High God?  Will I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?  Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, [or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil?  Will I give my firstborn [for] my transgression, the fruit of my body [for] the sin of my soul?  He has shown you, O man, what [is] good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Eat from what God has Provided of Sacrificial Animals and Feed the Needy and the Beggar

Sacrificing on Stone Altars are but Defilement from Satan, so Avoid it that you may be Successful

22:34, Qur'an
For all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of God over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals.  For your god is one God, so to Him submit.  And, give good tidings to the humble.

16:5, Qur'an
And [so] the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat.

22:36 - 37, Qur'an
And [so] the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of God; for you therein is good.  So mention the name of God upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar.  Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.  Their meat will not reach God, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.  Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify God for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

22:33, Qur'an
[And so] for you, the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.

5:97, Qur'an
[Whereby] God has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, standing for the people and [has sanctified] the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands [by which they are identified].  That is so you may know that God knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and that God is Knowing of all things.

26:132 - 134, Qur'an
[So] fear He who provided you with that which you know, provided you with grazing livestock and children and gardens and springs.

6:142, Qur'an
[Then] eat of what God has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan.  Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

5:90, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, divining arrows, and [sacrificing on] stone altars are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.

O Abraham, you have Fulfilled the Vision - We Ransomed his Son with a Great Sacrifice

53:36 - 38, Qur'an
Has he not been informed of what was in the Scriptures of Moses, and [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - that no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another?

37:100 - 102, Qur'an
[When Abraham said] "My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."  So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.  And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, [Abraham] said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think."  He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded.  You will find me, if God wills, of the steadfast."

Genesis 22:2, Torah
[So God] said, "Now take your son, your only [son], whom you love, and get into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I tell you of."

Genesis 22:6, Torah
[Then] Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they both went together.

Genesis 22:10, Torah
[Then] Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

37:103, Qur'an
And [so] when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead -

Genesis 22:11, Torah
The angel of the Lord called to him out of heaven, and said, "Abraham, Abraham."  And he said, "Here I [am]."

Genesis 22:12, Torah
[The angel] said, "Do not lay your hand upon the lad, neither do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing that you have not withheld your son, your only [son] from Me."

Genesis 22:13, Torah
[Then] Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns, and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered [the ram] up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

37:104 - 105, Qur'an
[Then] We called to him, "O Abraham, you have fulfilled the vision."  Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

John 8:56, Gospel
[And so Jesus said,] "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw [it], and was glad."

37:106 - 107, Qur'an
[So] indeed, this was the clear trial.  And We ransomed [his son] with a great sacrifice.

Those will have Lost who Killed their Children

They Sacrificed their Sons and Daughters to Devils, which I did Not Command them

6:140, Qur'an
Those will have lost - [those] who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what God had provided for them, inventing untruth about God.  They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.

6:137, Qur'an
[For] to many of the polytheists, their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion.  And if God had willed, they would not have done so.  So leave them and that which they invent.

Psalms 106:35 - 38, Torah
[For they] were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.  And they served their idols, which were a snare to them.  They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, and shed innocent blood, [even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

Jeremiah 7:31, Torah
And they have built the high places of Tophet, which [is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I did not command [them], neither did it come into My heart.

Jeremiah 19:5, Torah
[And] they have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire [for] burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command, nor spoke [it], neither did [it] come into My mind.

Psalms 106:39, Torah
[Rather,] they were defiled with their own works, and went whoring with their own inventions.

Deuteronomy 12:31 - 32, Torah
[Thus,] you will not do so to the Lord your God, for every abomination to the Lord, which He hates, they have done to their gods; for they have even burnt their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.  Whatever thing I command you, observe to do it, you will not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

17:31, Qur'an
[So] do not kill your children for fear of poverty.  We provide for them and for you.  Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin.

37:107 - 109, Qur'an
And [thus] We ransomed [Abraham's son] with a great sacrifice, and We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations.  Peace upon Abraham.

Abraham Offered a Ram in the Stead of his Son

As Another was Made to Resemble Jesus to them, for they Compelled Simon to Bear his Cross

2:124, Qur'an
[Remember] when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them.  [God] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people."  [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?"  [God] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers -"

4:157, Qur'an
[For We cursed them for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of God."  And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him.

53:37 - 38, Qur'an
[For] Abraham fulfilled [his obligations] - that no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another.

Hebrews 11:17, Gospel
[For] by faith, Abraham, when he was tried, offered up [his son], and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son] -

Genesis 22:12, Torah
[But the angel of the Lord] said, "Do not lay your hand upon the lad, neither do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing that you have not withheld your son, your only [son] from Me."

Genesis 22:13, Torah
[And so when] Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns, and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered [the ram] up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Luke 23:26, Gospel
[So likewise,] as they led [Jesus] away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear [it] after Jesus.

4:157, Qur'an
[And thus, another] was made to resemble him to them.  And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.  They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption.  And they did not kill him, for certain.

6:161, Qur'an
[So] say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth.  And he was not among those who associated others with God."

2:130 - 131, Qur'an
And who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself?  And We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous.  When his Lord said to him, "Submit", he said "I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds."

They Compelled Simon of Cyrene, who Passed by, to Bear his Cross

in Matthew, Mark, and Luke

Matthew 27:31 - 32, Gospel
After they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him].  And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, they compelled him to bear his cross.

Mark 15:21, Gospel
And [again,] they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Luke 23:26, Gospel
And [again,] as they led [Jesus] away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear [it] after Jesus.

4:157, Qur'an
[Thus] they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them.  And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.  They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption.  And they did not kill him, for certain.

But Jesus Bore his own Cross in John

For they Exchanged the Verses of God for a Small Price

3:187, Qur'an
God took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture, [saying], "You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it."  But they threw it away behind their backs and exchanged it for a small price.  And wretched is that which they purchased.

John 19:16 - 17, Gospel
[For John testified,] "Then he delivered him therefore to them to be crucified.  And they took Jesus, and led [him] away.  And he, bearing his cross, went forth into a place called [the place] of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha."

Matthew 27:32, Gospel
[Yet Matthew, Mark, and Luke agreed in testimony that,] "As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, him they compelled to bear his cross."

4:82, Qur'an
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an?  If it had been from [any] other than God, they would have found within it much contradiction.

41:40, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us.  So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection?  Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

3:199, Qur'an
[But] indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in God and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to God.  They do not exchange the verses of God for a small price.  Those will have their reward with their Lord.  Indeed, God is swift in account.

Caiaphas the High Priest Prophesied that Jesus should Die for that Nation

But you will Know False Prophets by their Fruits

For Caiaphas consulted that they might take Jesus subtlety
and put him to death through false witnesses

Matthew 7:15 - 17, Gospel
[Jesus said] "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  You will know them by their fruits.  Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

Luke 18:20, Gospel
[And] you know the commandments, 'Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and your mother.'

Matthew 7:18 - 20, Gospel
[Thus] a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  Therefore you will know them by their fruits."

John 11:49 - 53, Gospel
And one of them, [named] Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said to them, "You know nothing at all, nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation does not perish."  And he did not speak this of himself, but being high priest [of the Jews] that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; and not for that nation only, but that he should also gather together in one, the children of God, who were scattered abroad.  Then from that day forth they took counsel together to put him to death.

Matthew 26:3 - 4, Gospel
[Whereby] the chief priests assembled together, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, to the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill [him].

Luke 22:3 - 4, Gospel
Then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.  And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him to them.

John 18:3, Gospel
Judas then, having received a band [of men] and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes there with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Matthew 26:57, Gospel
And those who had laid hold on Jesus led [him] away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

John 18:14, Gospel
Now Caiaphas was the one who gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Mark 14:55 - 56, Gospel
[So] the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.  For many bore false witness against him, but their witness did not agree together.

Matthew 26:66, Gospel
[The high priest said,] "What do you think?"  They answered and said, "He is guilty of death -

[Wisdom of Solomon 2:19 - 21], Torah
Let us examine him with despitefulness and torture, that we may know his meekness, and test his patience.  Let us condemn him with a shameful death; for by his own saying, he will be respected."  Such things did they imagine, and were deceived; for their own wickedness has blinded them.

Matthew 27:1, Gospel
[So] when the morning had come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.

14:46, Qur'an
[Thus] they had planned their plan, but with God is their plan, even if their plan had been to move the mountains.

13:42, Qur'an
And those before them had plotted, but to God belongs the plan entirely.  He knows what every soul earns, and the disbelievers will know for whom is the final home.

40:5, Qur'an
[For] the people of Noah denied before them and the factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by falsehood to invalidate thereby the truth.  So I seized them, and how was My penalty.

3:54 - 55, Qur'an
[And thus these] disbelievers planned, but God planned.  And God is the best of planners.  When God said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection.  Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ."

14:47, Qur'an
So never think that God will fail in His promise to His messengers.  Indeed, God is Almighty and Owner of Retribution.

I am Innocent of the Blood of this Just Person, See to it

As the Soldiers of Pilate Came Out, they Found a Man of Cyrene, whom they Compelled to Bear his Cross

Matthew 27:1 - 2, Gospel
When the morning had come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.  And when they had bound him, they led [him] away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

43:79, Qur'an
[So] have they devised [some] affair?  But indeed, We are devising [a plan] -

Matthew 27:19, Gospel
[Thus] when [Governor Pilate] had set down on the judgement seat, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that just man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him -"

Numbers 12:6, Torah
[For] He said, "Hear My words now, if there is a prophet among you, [I] the Lord will make Myself known to him in a vision, [and] will speak to him in a dream.

42:51, Qur'an
[For] it is not for any human being that God should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills.  Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.

John 19:9 - 10, Gospel
And [so Pilate] went again into the judgement hall, and says to Jesus, "From where are you?"  But Jesus gave him no answer.  Then Pilate says to him, "Do you not speak to me?  Do you not know that I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?"

John 19:11, Gospel
Jesus answered, "You could have no power [at all] against me, except it were given to you from above, therefore he who delivered me to you has the greater sin."

John 19:12, Gospel
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, saying, "If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend, whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."

Luke 23:14 - 16, Gospel
[Pilate] said to them, "You have brought this man to me, as one who perverts the people, and, behold, I, having examined [him] before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof you accuse him; no, nor yet Herod, for I sent you to him; and, look, nothing worthy of death is done to him.  I will therefore chastise him, and release [him]."

Luke 23:20 - 21, Gospel
Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke to them again.  But they cried, saying, "Crucify [him], crucify him."

Matthew 27:23, Gospel
And the governor said, "Why, what evil has he done?"  But they cried out the more, saying, "Let him be crucified."

Matthew 27:24, Gospel
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just person, see [to it]."

Matthew 27:27 - 28, Gospel
[And so] the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered the whole band [of soldiers] to him.  And [the soldiers of Pilate] stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.

Matthew 27:31 - 32, Gospel
And after they had mocked him, [the soldiers of Pilate] took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him].  And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, him [the soldiers of Pilate] compelled to bear his cross.

John 19:19, Gospel
[Then] Pilate wrote a title, and put [it] on the cross.  And the writing was, "Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews."

4:157, Qur'an
[Thus] they did not kill [Jesus], nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them.  And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.  They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption.  And they did not kill him, for certain.

Psalms 33:10, Torah
[For] the Lord brings the counsel of the heathen to nothing, He makes the devices of the people of none effect.

3:54, Qur'an
[Thus] the disbelievers planned, but God planned.  And God is the best of planners.

O Jesus, Indeed I will Take you and Raise you to Myself

When the Comforter has Come, he will Expose the World of Righteousness, because I Go to the Creator

Luke 9:30 - 31, Gospel
[Remember that] behold, two men talked with [Jesus] there, who were Moses and Elias, who appeared in glory, and they spoke of his exodus which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

Luke 9:51, Gospel
[So] it came to pass, when the time had come that he should ascend, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.

John 7:33 - 34, Gospel
Then Jesus said to [his disciples], "Yet a little while am I with you, and [then] I go to Him who sent me.  You will seek me, and will not find [me], and where I am, [there] you cannot come."

John 13:1, Gospel
[So it was] before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the [Creator], having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

John 16:5, Gospel
[And so Jesus said,] "Now I go my way to Him who sent me; and none of you asks me, 'Where do you go?'

John 16:7 - 10, Gospel
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.  And when he has come, he will expose the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement.  Of sin, because they do not believe on me; of righteousness, because I go to the [Creator], and you see me no more -"

4:158, Qur'an
[For] God raised him to Himself.  And ever is God Almighty and Most Wise.

4:157, Qur'an
[So We cursed them for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of God."  And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them.  And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.  They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption.  And they did not kill him, for certain.

Psalms 27:5, Torah
For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion, He will hide me in the secret of His tent; He will set me up upon a rock.

Psalms 118:5, Torah
[For] I called upon the Lord in distress, the Lord answered me, [and set me] in a large place.

Psalms 71:2 - 4, Torah
[For Jesus had prayed, saying,] "Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape, incline Your ear to me, and save me.  Be my strong habitation, whereto I may continually resort, You have given commandment to save me; for You [are] my Rock and my Fortress.  Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

Psalms 41:10 - 11, Torah
[So] You, O Lord, be merciful to me, and raise me up [to You], that I may requite them.  By this I know that You favor me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

Psalms 27:6, Torah
[For] now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tent; I will sing, indeed, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Psalms 31:8, Torah
[For] You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy, You have set my feet in a large room.

Psalms 31:20, Torah
[For] You will hide [those who trust in You] in the secret of Your presence from the pride of man, You will keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

Psalms 27:10, Torah
[And thus] when my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."

3:55, Qur'an
[For] God said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection.  Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ."

No Bearer of Burdens will Bear the Burden of Another

For Every Man will Bear his Own Burden

29:2 - 3, Qur'an
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?  But We have certainly tried those before them, and God will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.

29:12, Qur'an
[But] those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins."  But they will not carry anything of their sins.  Indeed, they are liars.

53:37 - 41, Qur'an
[For] Abraham fulfilled [his obligations] - that no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another and that there is not for man except that for which he strives and that his effort is going to be seen - then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense.

3:69, Qur'an
[But] a faction of the people of the Scripture wish they could mislead you.  But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not.

Galatians 6:7, Gospel
[So] be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap.

Ezekiel 18:20, Torah
[Whereby] the soul that sins, it will die.  The son will not bear the iniquity of the father, neither will the father bear the iniquity of the son, the righteousness of the righteous will be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon him.

Colossians 3:25, Gospel
[For] he who does wrong will receive for the wrong which he has done, and there is no respect of persons.

17:15, Qur'an
[Thus] whoever is guided is only guided for his soul.  And whoever errs only errs against it.  And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another.

Galatians 6:4 - 5, Gospel
But [rather,] let every man prove his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.  For every man will bear his own burden.

37:39, Qur'an
[Thus] you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -

Jeremiah 17:10, Torah
[For] I the Lord search the heart, [I] test the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.

1 Corinthians 3:13, Gospel
[Thus] every man's work will be made manifest, for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by Fire; and the Fire will try every man's work of what sort it is.

4:111, Qur'an
And [so] whoever commits a sin only earns it against himself.  And God is ever Knowing and Wise.

4:123 - 125, Qur'an
[And thus] Paradise is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture - [for] whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides God a protector [savior] or a helper.  And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer - those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed.  And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to God while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth?  And God took Abraham as an intimate friend.

Beside God there is No Savior, for He will Not Give His Glory to Another

Every Knee will Bow to God, for to the Only Wise God is Glory Forever

2:107, Qur'an
Do you not know that to God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and [that] you have not besides God any protector or any helper?

Isaiah 43:11, Torah
"[For] I, [even] I, [am] the Lord; and beside Me [there is] no savior.

Isaiah 42:8, Torah
[For] I [am] the Lord, that [is] My name, and I will not give My glory to another, neither My praise to graven images."

1 Timothy 1:17, Gospel
[For] to the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the Only Wise God, [is] honor and glory forever and ever.

*Isaiah 45:22 - 23, Torah
"[So] look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I [am] God, and [there is] none else.  I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth [in] righteousness, and will not return, "That to Me, every knee will bow, every tongue will swear."

19:68, Qur'an
So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees.

*Romans 14:11 - 12, Gospel
[For] it is written, "[As] I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will confess to God."  So then every one of us will give account of himself to God -

17:14, Qur'an
[Whereby it will be said], "Read your record.  Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant."

[Book of Enoch 97:6], Torah
And [so] the words of your iniquity will be read out before the great and Holy One, and your faces will blush with shame, and every deed which is founded upon iniquity will be rejected.

45:28 - 29, Qur'an
And [thus] you will see every nation kneeling [from fear].  Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.  This, Our record, speaks about you in truth.  Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do."

19:69 - 72, Qur'an
Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence.  Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein.  And there is none of you except he will come to [Hell upon his knees].  This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed.  Then We will save those who feared God and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.

Isaiah 44:8, Torah
"[But] do not fear, neither be afraid, have I not told you from that time, and have declared [it]?  You [are] even My witnesses.  Is there a god beside Me?  Indeed, [there is] no god; I do not know [any].

Isaiah 45:20 - 21, Torah
[So] assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you [who have] escaped of the nations, they have no knowledge who set up the wood [cross] of their graven image, and pray to a god [that] cannot save.  Tell [them] and bring [them] near; let them take counsel together, who has declared this from ancient time?  [Who] has told it from that time?  [Have] not I, the Lord?  And [there is] no god beside Me; a just God and a Savior; [there are] none beside Me."

7:196 - 197, Qur'an
[So] indeed, my Protector is God, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the righteous.  And those you call upon besides Him are unable to help you, nor can they help themselves.

8:40, Qur'an
But if they turn away - then know that God is your Protector.  Excellent is the protector, and Excellent is the helper.
