I will Not Offer their Drink Offerings of Blood, Nor Take up their Names into my Lips

For Prohibited to you is Blood and that which has been Dedicated to Other than God

16:115, Qur'an
He has only forbidden to you blood, dead animals, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than God.  But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.

5:88, Qur'an
[So] eat of what God has provided for you [which is] lawful and good.  And fear God, in whom you are believers.

Psalms 16:4 - 5, Torah
[For] their sorrows will be multiplied, those who hasten after another, I will not offer their drink offerings of blood, nor take up their names into my lips.  The Lord [God] is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup, You maintain my lot.

1 Corinthians 10:31, Gospel
Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

John 4:10, Gospel
[And thus Jesus said,] "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, 'Give to me to drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."

Sections of Communion

If you Knew the Gift of God, then you would have Asked for Living Water

For God Said, "I will Give to him who is Athirst of the Fountain of the Water of Life Freely"

Psalms 36:7 - 9, Torah
How excellent [is] Your loving kindness, O God!  Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.  They will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You will make them drink of the river of Your pleasures.  For with You [is] the fountain of life, in Your light we will see light.

John 4:10, Gospel
[And so Jesus said,] "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, 'Give to me to drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

John 4:14, Gospel
[For] whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will be in him as a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 12:49 - 50, Gospel
For I have not spoken of myself; but the [Creator] who sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.  And I know that His commandment is life everlasting, whatever I speak therefore, even as the [Creator] said to me, so I speak.

John 5:24, Gospel
[So] verily I say to you, he who hears my word, and believes on Him who sent me, has everlasting life, and will not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life."

Isaiah 12:2 - 3, Torah
[So] behold, God [is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid, for the Lord, the Sustainer of existence, [is] my strength and [my] song; He has also become my salvation.  Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Jeremiah 17:13 - 15, Torah
[But,] O Lord, the hope of Israel, all who forsake You will be ashamed, [and] those who depart from me will be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.  [So] heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You [are] my praise.  Behold, they say to me, "Where [is] the word of the Lord?  Let it come now."

Revelation 21:6, Gospel
[And thus God] said to me, "It is done.  I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.  I will give to him who is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."

Revelation 22:1, Gospel
And [so] he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the Throne of God -

76:20 - 21, Qur'an
And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion.  Upon the inhabitants will be green garments of fine silk and brocade.  And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink.

7:43, Qur'an
And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers.  And they will say, "Praise to God, who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if God had not guided us.  Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth."  And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do."

Labor for the Food that Endures to Everlasting Life, which the Son of man will Give to you

I have Given to them the Words which God Gave me, Whereby the Words that I Speak to you, they are Life

John 6:28, Gospel
They said to him, "What will we do, that we might work the works of God?"

John 6:29, Gospel
Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom He has sent.

John 12:49, Gospel
For I have not spoken of myself; but the [Creator] who sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak."

John 6:30 - 31, Gospel
Therefore they said to him, "What sign do you show then, that we may see, and believe you?  What do you work?  Our fathers ate manna in the desert; as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat -'"

Deuteronomy 8:2 - 3, Torah
[It reads,] you will remember all the ways which the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, [and] to test you, to know what [was] in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.  And [so] He humbled you, and let you hunger, and fed you with manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know; that He might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every [word] that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord -

John 3:34, Gospel
[Whereby] he whom God has sent, speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure [to him].

John 12:44, Gospel
[And so] Jesus cried and said, "He who believes on me, does not believe on me, but on Him who sent me.

John 14:24, Gospel
[For] the word which you hear is not mine, but the [Creator's] who sent me.

John 12:50, Gospel
And I know that His commandment is life everlasting, whatever I speak therefore, even as the [Creator] said to me, so I speak.

John 6:63, Gospel
[And thus] the words that I speak to you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life."

John 6:35, Gospel
And [so] Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life, he who comes to me will never hunger; and he who believes on me will never thirst.

John 6:49, Gospel
Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

John 6:27, Gospel
[So] do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to everlasting life, which the Son of man will give to you, for him, God the [Creator] has sealed.

John 17:8, Gospel
[And thus O God,] I have given to them the words which You gave me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out from You, and they have believed that You did send me.

John 5:24, Gospel
[And] verily, verily, I say to you, 'He who hears my word, and believes on Him who sent me, has everlasting life, and will not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life.'

John 14:1, Gospel
[So] do not let your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me."

3:53, Qur'an
[So say,] "Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth]."

39:33, Qur'an
[And thus,] the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.

3:136, Qur'an
Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.

20:118 - 119, Qur'an
Indeed, it is not for you to be hungry therein [in Paradise] or be unclothed.  And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun.

Abstain from Blood, for it Seemed Good to the Holy Spirit

2:173, Qur'an
He has only forbidden to you blood, dead animals, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than God.  But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him.  Indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.

Acts 15:28 - 29, Gospel
[And so] it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; that you abstain from blood, and meats offered to idols, and from things strangled, and from fornication, from which if you keep yourselves, you will do well.

Leviticus 17:14, Torah
For [blood is] the life of all flesh; the blood [is] for the life thereof, therefore I said to the Children of Israel, "You will not eat the blood of any manner of flesh, for the life of all flesh [is] the blood, whoever eats it will be cut off."

Deuteronomy 12:23 - 24, Torah
[So] be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood [is] the life; and you may not eat the life with the flesh.  You will not eat it; you will pour it upon the earth as water.

Do Not Let Satan Tempt you as he Removed your Parents from Paradise

God said, "Do Not Approach this Tree," but Satan Whispered that they would Become of the Immortal

7:27, Qur'an
O children of Adam, do not let Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts -

7:19, Qur'an
[When God said,] "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

7:20 - 21, Qur'an
But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts.  He said, "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal."  And he swore [by God] to them, "Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors."

7:22, Qur'an
So he made them fall, through deception.  And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise.  And their Lord called to them, "Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?"

7:16 - 17, Qur'an
[For Satan] said, "Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path.  Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]."

John 6:54, Gospel
[So now the sincere advisor says,] "Whoever drinks my blood and chews my flesh has eternal life."

[4 Maccabees 3:15], Torah
But David, although he was burning with thirst, considered it an altogether fearful danger to his soul to drink what was regarded as equivalent to blood.

22:52 - 54, Qur'an
[Thus] We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke, Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding].  But God abolishes that which Satan throws in; then God makes precise His verses, so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those hard of heart and within is disease.  And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.  And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it.  And indeed God is the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.

2:168, Qur'an
[So] O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan.  Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

16:115, Qur'an
[God] has only forbidden to you blood, dead animals, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than God.  But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.

34:20 - 21, Qur'an
[But Satan] had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a party of believers.  And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt.  And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.

Prohibited is that which is Dedicated to Other than God - so Drink Only to the Glory of God

Is it Not the Communion of the Blood of the Messiah?  Thus I will Not Offer their Drink Offerings of Blood

Amos 2:8, Torah
[The Lord says; "For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because] they drink the wine of the condemned [in] the house of their god, and they lay [themselves] down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar.

1 Corinthians 8:4, Gospel
Therefore, as concerning the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one.

1 Corinthians 10:14 - 16, Gospel
Therefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.  I speak as to wise men; judge what I say.  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of the Messiah?  The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of the Messiah?

1 Corinthians 11:24 - 25, Gospel
[For] when [the Messiah] had given thanks, he broke [it], and said, 'Take, eat, this is my body, which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of me.'  After the same manner [he took] the cup also, when he had supped, saying, 'This cup is the new testament in my blood, do this, as often as you drink [it], in remembrance of me.'"

Psalms 16:4 - 5, Torah
[But] their sorrows will be multiplied, those who hasten after another, I will not offer their drink offerings of blood, nor take up their names into my lips.  The Lord [God] is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup, You maintain my lot.

1 Corinthians 10:28, Gospel
[And so] if any man says to you, "This is offered in sacrifice to idols," do not eat for his sake who showed it, and for conscience sake, for the earth [is] the Lord [God's], and the fullness thereof.

5:3, Qur'an
[And thus] prohibited to you is that which has been dedicated to other than God, dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine.

Acts 15:28 - 29, Gospel
[For] it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; that you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication, from which if you keep yourselves, you will do well.

1 Corinthians 10:31, Gospel
Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Psalms 116:13, Torah
[And thus] I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord [God].
