Psalms 37:38 - 40, Torah
[For] the transgressors will be destroyed together, the end of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble. *Psalms 118:17 - 23, Torah
[It reads,] I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord [God]. The Lord [God] has chastened me sore, but He has not given me over to death. Open the gates of righteousness to me, I will go into them, [and] I will praise the Lord [God]. This gate of the Lord [God], into which the righteous will enter. I will praise You [O God], for You have heard me, and have become my salvation. The stone [which] the builders refused has become the head of the corner. This is the Lord [God's] doing; it [is] marvelous in our eyes.
Luke 20:17 - 18, Gospel
And [so Jesus] beheld them, and said, "What is this then that is written, 'The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner?' Whoever will fall upon that stone will be broken; but on whomever it will fall, it will grind him to powder -"

And the second [is] like, [namely] this, 'You will love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Deuteronomy 10:12 - 13, Torah
[So] now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep the commandments of the Lord, and His statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
Deuteronomy 6:6 - 7, Torah
And [so] these words, which I command you this day, will be in your heart. And you will teach them diligently to your children, and will talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 13:1 - 4, Torah
If a prophet arises among you, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, whereby he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them;' you will not hear the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God tests you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You will walk after the Lord your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and you will serve [only] Him, and cleave to Him.
Joshua 24:14 - 15, Torah
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river, and in Egypt; and serve [only] the Lord. And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

*Luke 2:28 - 33, Gospel
[So Simeon, just and devout,] took [Jesus] up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, "Lord [God], now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word. And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luke 1:46 - 49, Gospel

Luke 19:41 - 44, Gospel
[And] when Jesus had come near, he beheld the city Jerusalem, and wept over it, saying, "If you had known, even you, at least in this day of yours, the things belonging to your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you, that your enemies will cast a trench about you, and encompass you around, and keep you in on every side, and will lay you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they will not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation."
Isaiah 10:3 - 4, Torah
And what will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation [which] will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without Me, they will bow down under the prisoners, and they will fall under the slain. For all this, His anger is not turned away, but His hand [is] stretched out still.
*Luke 23:28 - 30, Gospel
[So] Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. For behold, the days are coming, in the which they will say, 'Blessed [are] the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the paps which never gave suck.' Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us;' and to the hills, 'Cover us.'
Luke 21:21 - 23, Gospel
Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let those who are in the midst of it depart out; and do not let those who are in the countries enter therein. For these are the days of vengeance, so that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people."
Matthew 24:1 - 2, Gospel
[So] Jesus went out, and departed from the temple, and his disciples came to [him] to show him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Verily I say to you, 'There will not be one stone here left upon another, that will not be thrown down.'"
Deuteronomy 18:21 - 22, Torah
[But] if you say in your heart, "How will we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?" When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not follow, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the Lord has not spoken, [but] the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you will not be afraid of him.
Acts 3:22 - 24, Gospel
For Moses truly said to the fathers, "The Lord your God will raise up a prophet to you from your brothers, like me; you will hear him in all things whatsoever he will say to you. And it will come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, will be destroyed from among the people." Indeed, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
2 Peter 2:5 - 6, Gospel
[For God] did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those after that should live ungodly -
Luke 17:29 - 30, Gospel
[Whereby] the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus will it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed -
And thus Jerusalem was sieged in 70 AD
Titus began his siege surrounding the city. Destroying the Temple was not among Titus' goals, but a Roman soldier threw a burning stick onto one of the Temple's walls. The fire spread quickly and was soon out of control. The Temple was captured and destroyed and the flames spread into the residential sections of the city. Armed rebels, as well as the frail citizens, were put to death. And the rest of the wall surrounding Jerusalem was so thoroughly laid even with the ground by those that dug it up to the foundation, that there was left nothing to make those that came there believe Jerusalem had ever been inhabited. Titus reportedly said that the victory did not come through his own efforts but that he had merely served as an instrument of God's wrath - Flavius Josephus
Isaiah 5
Isaiah 5:1 - 2, Torah
Now I will sing to my wellbeloved, a song of my beloved touching His vineyard. My wellbeloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill. And He fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein, and He looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
Luke 20:10 - 12, Gospel
And at the season, He sent a servant to the husbandmen, so that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard, but the husbandmen beat him, and sent [him] away empty. And again He sent another servant, and they beat him also, and entreated [him] shamefully, and sent [him] away empty. And again He sent a third, and they wounded him also, and cast [him] out.
Isaiah 5:3 - 5, Torah
[So] now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, please judge between Me and My vineyard. What could have been done more to My vineyard, that I have not done in it? Therefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes? And now go; I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard, I will take away the hedge thereof, and it will be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it will be trodden down."
Isaiah 5:6 - 7, Torah
And I will lay it waste, it will not be pruned, nor dug; but briers and thorns will come up, I will also command the clouds so that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah [are] His pleasant plant, and He looked for judgement, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
Isaiah 5:11 - 13, Torah
[So] woe to those who rise up early in the morning, [so that] they may follow strong drink; who continue until night, [until] wine inflames them! And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts, but they do not regard the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of His hands. Therefore My people have gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge, and their honorable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst."
Micah 7
Luke 12:51 - 52, Gospel
[Or] do you suppose that I have come to give peace on earth? I tell you, 'No; but rather division.' For from henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three."
*Matthew 10:34 - 36, Gospel
"[So] do not think that I have come to send peace on earth, I did not come to send peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And [thus] a man's foes [will be] those of his own household -
Luke 21:16 - 17, Gospel
[For] you will be betrayed both by parents, and brothers, and kinsfolks, and friends; and they will cause [some] of you to be put to death. And you will be hated of all [men] for my name's sake.
Luke 21:18 - 20, Gospel
But not a hair of your head will perish. In your patience, possess your souls. And when you will see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near.
Luke 21:31 - 32, Gospel
[So] likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is near at hand. Verily I say to you, 'This generation will not pass away, until all is fulfilled.'"
Luke 12:54 - 56, Gospel
And [so] he also said to the people, "When you see a cloud rise out of the west, straightaway you say, 'A shower comes;' and so it is. And when [you see] the south wind blow, you say, 'There will be heat;' and it comes to pass. [You] hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky and the earth; but how is it that you do not discern this time?
Luke 17:26 - 27, Gospel
[For] as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all" -
2 Ezra 1
Matthew 23:29 - 32, Gospel
[So] woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous, and say, 'If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.' Therefore you are witnesses to yourselves, that you are the children of those who killed the prophets. Fill up then the measure of your fathers.
Matthew 23:34 - 36, Gospel
[For] behold, I send prophets to you, and wise men, and scribes, and you will kill and crucify [some] of them; and you will scourge [some] of them in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city: so that all the righteous blood shed upon the earth may come upon you, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say to you, 'All these things will come upon this generation -
*Matthew 23:37 - 38, Gospel
[For] O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [you] who kill the prophets, and stone those who are sent to you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under [her] wings, and you would not! Behold, your house is left desolate to you.'"
*[2 Ezra 1:30 - 33], Torah
"[For] I gathered you together, as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings; but now, what will I do to you? I will cast you out from My Face. When you offer to Me, I will turn My Face from you; for I have forsaken your solemn feast days, your new moons, and your circumcisions. I sent My servants to you, the prophets, whom you have taken and slain, and torn their bodies in pieces, whose blood I will require of your hands," the Lord says. Thus the Almighty Lord says, "Your house is desolate, I will cast you out as the wind does stubble."
Mark 15:29 - 32, Gospel
And [so remember that] those who passed by railed on [Jesus], wagging their heads, and saying, "Ah, you who destroy the temple, and build [it] in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross." After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the taxing, and drew many people away after him, he also perished; and all, [even] as many who obeyed him, were dispersed.
Jeremiah 28:15 - 17, Torah
[And likewise, remember when] the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, "Hear now, Hananiah; the Lord has not sent you; but you make this people trust in a lie. Therefore the Lord thus says; 'Behold, I will cast you from off the face of the earth, you will die this year, because you have taught rebellion against the Lord.'" So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.
Psalms 37:38 - 40, Torah
[For] the transgressors will be destroyed together, the end of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble.
