Deuteronomy 14:3, Torah
[God said,] "You will not eat any abominable thing."
Genesis 9:3 - 4, Torah
[And thus,] every [good] moving thing that lives will be meat for you; even as the green herb, I have given you all [good] things. But flesh with the life, [which is] the blood, you will not eat.
Leviticus 11:7, Torah
And the swine… he [is] unclean to you.
Leviticus 22:8, Torah
[And] that which dies of itself, or is torn [with beasts], [you] will not eat to defile [yourself] therewith, I [am] the Lord.
5:3, Qur'an
[And so] dead [creatures] are prohibited to you, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to [something] other than God, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those which a wild animal has eaten from, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [it is prohibited] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day, those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so do not fear them, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favor upon you and have approved submission [to God] as religion for you. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
Luke 8:31, Gospel
And [the devils] asked him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
8:21 - 22, Qur'an
[So] do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear. Indeed, the worst of living creatures to God are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason -
5:62 - 63, Qur'an
You see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing. Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from devouring what is unlawful and saying what is sinful? What they have been doing is surely wretched -
Isaiah 65:2 - 5, Torah
[But] I have spread out My hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way [that was] not good, after their own thoughts; a people who provokes Me to anger continually to My Face; who sacrifice in gardens, and burn incense upon altars of brick; who remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, who eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable [things is in] their vessels; who say, 'Stand by yourself, do not come near me; for I am holier than you.' These [are] a smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all the day.
Isaiah 66:15 - 17, Torah
[So] behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For the Lord will judge all flesh by fire and by His sword, and the slain of the Lord will be many. "Those who sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, will be consumed together," the Lord says.
Leviticus 7:22 - 25, Torah
[For] the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the Children of Israel, saying, 'You will eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.' And the fat of the beast that dies of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use, but you will in no wise eat of it. For whoever eats the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, even the soul who eats [it] will be cut off from his people."
16:118 - 119, Qur'an
[Thus] to those who are Jews We have prohibited that which We related to you before. And We did not wrong them [thereby], but they were wronging themselves. Then, indeed your Lord, to those who have done wrong out of ignorance and then repent after that and correct themselves - indeed, your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.
3:94, Qur'an
[But] whoever invents a lie about God after that - then those are the wrongdoers.
5:87 - 88, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which God has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, God does not love the transgressors. And eat of what God has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear God, in whom you are believers.
[Whereby Sunni Muslims say that] Abu Mus'ab told us that 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Zayd ibn Aslam told us, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Two kinds of dead meat have been permitted to us: fish and locusts." - Sunan Ibn Majah
[For Sunni Muslims say that] Daraqutni transmitted that Jabir reported Allah's messenger as saying,
"There is no creature in the sea which Allah has not slaughtered for the sons of Adam."* *A way of saying that fish are lawful food although they are not slaughtered. - Mishkat al-Masabih
[For Sunni Muslims say that] Abu Mus'ab told us that 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Zayd ibn Aslam heard from his father, who heard from 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Two kinds of dead meat and two kinds of blood have been permitted to us. The two kinds of dead meat are fish and locusts, and the two kinds of blood are the liver and spleen." - Sunan Ibn Majah
16:115 - 116, Qur'an
[But] He has forbidden dead [creatures] to you, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to [something] other than God. But whoever is forced, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing - then indeed, Godis Forgiving and Merciful. [So] do not say about what your tongues assert of lies, "This is lawful," and "This is forbidden," to invent lies about God. Indeed, those who invent lies about God will not succeed.
