Hadiths that Contradict the Qur'an

Narrated Abu Sa`id:

The women requested the Prophet, "Please fix a day for us." So the Prophet (ﷺ) preached to them and said, "A woman whose three children died would be screened from the Hell Fire by them," Hearing that, a woman asked, "If two died?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Even two (would screen her from the (Hell) Fire. " And Abu Huraira added, "Those children should be below the age of puberty. " - Sahih al-Bukhari

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:

Some women requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his time. On that he promised them one day for religious lessons and commandments. Once during such a lesson the Prophet said, "A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He replied, "Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire). - Sahih al-Bukhari

Narrated `Adi bin Hatim:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There will be none among you but his Lord will speak to him, and there will be no interpreter between them nor a screen to screen Him." - Sahih al-Bukhari

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(There are) three (types of persons to whom) Allah will neither speak to them on the Day of Resurrections, nor look at them (They are):--(1) a man who takes a false oath that he has been offered for a commodity a price greater than what he has actually been offered; (2) and a man who takes a false oath after the `Asr (prayer) in order to grab the property of a Muslim through it; (3) and a man who forbids others to use the remaining superfluous water. To such a man Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection, 'Today I withhold My Blessings from you as you withheld the superfluous part of that (water) which your hands did not create.' " - Sahih al-Bukhari

3:77, Qur'an
Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of God and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.

2:174, Qur'an
Indeed, those who conceal what God has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price - those do not consume [anything] into their bellies except the Fire. And God will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If any one of you improve (follows strictly) his Islamic religion then his good deeds will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and a bad deed will be recorded as it is."

6:160, Qur'an
[Rather,] whoever comes [on the Day of Judgment] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof, and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.

"On the Day of Resurrection, a huge fat man will come who will not weigh, the weight of the wing of a mosquito in Allah's Sight." and then the Prophet (ﷺ) added, 'We shall not give them any weight on the Day of Resurrection' (18.105) - Sahih al-Bukhari

18:105, Qur'an
[Rather,] those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign any weight to [their deeds] on the Day of Resurrection.

Hudhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited us from wearing brocade or silk and drinking out of gold or silver vessels and said, "These are meant for them (disbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter." - Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim

7:32, Qur'an
[So] say [instead, O Prophet], "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say [O Prophet], "They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." Thus, We detail the verses for a people who know.

"Noah will be brought (before Allah) on the Day of Resurrection, and will be asked, 'Did you convey the message of Allah?" He will reply, 'Yes, O Lord.' And then Noah's nation will be asked, 'Did he (Noah) convey Allah's message to you?' They will reply, 'No warner came to us.' - Sahih al-Bukhari

67:8 - 9, Qur'an
[Rather,] every time a company is thrown into [Hell], its keepers ask them, "Did a warner not come to you?"
They will say [instead], "Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are in nothing but great error.'"

"Noah and his nation will come (on the Day of Resurrection and Allah will ask (Noah), "Did you convey (the Message)?' He will reply, 'Yes, O my Lord!' Then Allah will ask Noah's nation, 'Did Noah convey My Message to you?' They will reply, 'No, no prophet came to us.' - Sahih al-Bukhari

39:71, Qur'an
[Rather,] those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, "Did messengers not come to you from yourselves, reciting the verses of your Lord to you and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes," but the word of punishment has come true upon the disbelievers.

Then Allah will ask Noah, 'Who will stand a witness for you?' He will reply, 'Muhammad and his followers (will stand witness for me).' So, I [Muhammad] and my followers will stand as witnesses for him (that he conveyed Allah's Message)." That is, (the interpretation) of the Statement of Allah: "Thus we have made you a just and the best nation that you might be witnesses Over mankind .." (2.143) - Sahih al-Bukhari

2:134, Qur'an
[But] that was a nation which has passed on. It will have what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.

Then Noah will be asked, 'Who are your witnesses?' He will reply. '(My witnesses are) Muhammad and his followers.' Thereupon you (Muslims) will be brought and you will bear witness." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) recited: 'And thus We have made of you (Muslims) a just and the best nation, that you might be witness over the nations, and the Apostle a witness over you.' (2.143) - Sahih al-Bukhari

2:141, Qur'an
[But] that was a nation which has passed on. It will have what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.

Younis said that `Aisha said:

The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison." - Sahih al-Bukhari

69:44 - 46, Qur'an
[But] if Muhammad had made up some [false] sayings about Us,
We would have seized him by the right hand; then We would have cut his aorta from him.

Mukhled bin Khalid told us that Abdul Razzaq said that Muammar said that al-Zuhri said that Ibn Ka'b bin Malik said:

On the authority of his father: Umm Mubashshir said to the Prophet (ﷺ) during the sickness of which he died: What do you think about your illness, Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? I do not think about the illness of my son except the poisoned sheep of which he had eaten with you at Khaybar.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: And I do not think about my illness except that. This is the time when it cut off my aorta. - Sunan Abi Dawud

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection, then suddenly I will see Moses holding one of the pillars of the Throne." Abu Huraira said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be the first person to be resurrected and will see Moses holding the Throne." - Sahih al-Bukhari

69:17, Qur'an
And the angels are at its edges. And eight [of them] will bear the Throne of your Lord above them that Day.
