Many Religious Scholars Pretend to Preach, for they are Liars who Conspire to Deceive those who Believe

For there are Corrupters who Say they Believe in God, but they are Not Believers, Rather, they are Mockers who Conspire to Deceive those who Believe

And Thus, there are those who Say they are Jews, but they are Not, and there are those who Say they are [Christian] Apostles, but they are Not, and there are those [Muslim Imams] who Say they Believe in Allah, but Rather, they are with Satan

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are only reformers." Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they do not perceive.

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they do not know -

[For] they [conspire to] deceive God and those who believe, but they do not deceive [God], just themselves and they do not perceive -

[For it is] We [who] have placed the greatest of criminals within every city to conspire therein. [And thus,] they do not conspire [successfully] against [God], just themselves, and they do not perceive.
