8:21 - 22, Qur'an
[So] do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear. Indeed, the worst of living creatures to God are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason.
10:99 - 101, Qur'an
[But] had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, would you compel the people in order that they become believers? [But] it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of God, and He will place abomination upon those who will not use reason. [So] say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But signs or warners will be of no avail to a people who do not believe.
40:81, Qur'an
[For] He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of God do you deny?
23:45 - 46, Qur'an
[For] We [already] sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.
Luke 16:30 - 31, Gospel
[But they say,] "No, father Abraham, if one went to them from the dead, they will repent." And [so Abraham] said to him, "If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead" -
10:96 - 97, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those whom the word of your Lord has come true against will not believe, even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment.
43:40, Qur'an
Will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind or he who is in clear error?
2:272, Qur'an
[For responsibility for] their guidance is not upon you, but God guides whom He wills.
51:54 - 55, Qur'an
So leave them, for you are not to be blamed. [But] remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
Matthew 9:28 - 29, Gospel
[So remember] when [Jesus] had come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus says to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, master." Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith, be it to you."
Matthew 8:5 - 8, Gospel
And when Jesus had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching him, and saying, "Master, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented." And Jesus says to him, "I will come and heal him." The centurion answered and said, "Master, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed."
Matthew 15:21 - 22, Gospel
Then Jesus went from there, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried to him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O master, Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil."
Matthew 13:57 - 58, Gospel
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house." And he did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
John 12:37 - 40, Gospel
[And so even] though he had done so many miracles before them, they did not believe on him. So that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again, "He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; so that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."
16:33 - 34, Qur'an
Do the disbelievers await [nothing] except that the angels should come to them or the command of your Lord should come? Thus did those do before them. And God did not wrong them, but they had been wronging themselves. So they were struck by the evil consequences of what they did and were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
23:33 - 34, Qur'an
[As with] the eminent among [Noah's] people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is nothing but a man like yourselves. He eats from that which you eat and drinks from what you drink. And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be in loss."
6:8 - 9, Qur'an
And [thus] they say, "Why was an angel not sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved. And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that which they cover themselves in.
11:96, Qur'an
[For] We certainly sent Moses with Our signs and a clear authority -
Exodus 10:1 - 2, Torah
[Whereby] the Lord said to Moses, "Go in toward Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, so that I might show My signs before him. And so that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them; so that you may know how I [am] the Lord."
7:130 - 132, Qur'an
[And so] We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits so that perhaps they would be reminded. But when good came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with God, but most of them do not know. And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you." So We sent the flood upon them and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.
41:13 - 16, Qur'an
[So] if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] 'Aad and Thamud - [that occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Do not serve [anything] except God." They said, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we are disbelievers in that which you have been sent with." As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without truth and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that God who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs. So We sent a screaming wind upon them during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.
30:57 - 60, Qur'an
So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [God]. [For] We have certainly set forth every [kind of] example to the people in this Qur'an. But, if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are nothing but falsifiers." Thus, God seals the hearts of those who do not know. So be patient. Indeed, the promise of God is truth. And do not let them disquiet you who are not certain [in faith].
