For those who Break the Covenant of God, this is the Hellfire which you were Promised

And Thus, When We Offered the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth, they Declined to Bear it and Feared it, but Man Promised to Bear it - and Indeed, this Qur'an is a Reminder

65:10, Qur'an
God has prepared a severe punishment for them; so fear God, O you of understanding who have believed. Indeed, God has sent down a Reminder to you.

74:53 - 55, Qur'an
[But] no! They do not fear the Hereafter.
No! Indeed, [this Qur'an] is a Reminder. Then whoever wills will remember it -

33:72, Qur'an
[For when] We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [promised to] bear it.  Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant -

13:25, Qur'an
[Because for] those who break the covenant of God after contracting it and sever that which God has commanded to be joined and spread corruption on earth - the curse [will be] upon them, and they [will have] the worst home.

38:49 - 50, Qur'an
[So indeed,] this is a reminder. And indeed, there is a good place of return for those who fear [God] -
Gardens of Eternity, whose gates will be opened to them.

50:32 - 35, Qur'an
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to God] and keeper [of His Trust]
who feared the Most Gracious unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]. Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity." They will have whatever they will [or wish] therein, and there is more with Us.

3:76 - 77, Qur'an
[So] yes, whoever fulfills his covenant and fears [God] - then indeed, God loves those who fear [Him].
[But] indeed, those who exchange the covenant of God and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.

9:68, Qur'an
[For] God has promised the fire of Hell for the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the disbelievers, wherein they will abide eternally.  It is sufficient for them.  And God has cursed them, and there is an enduring punishment for them.

45:34, Qur'an
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and there are no helpers for you."

89:23, Qur'an
And Hell is brought that Day - [and] man will remember that Day, but what good will the remembrance be to him?

35:37, Qur'an
And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!"  But did We not grant you enough life for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you?  So taste [the punishment], for there is no helper for the wrongdoers.

59:18 - 19, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, fear God. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear God. Indeed, God is Aware of what you do.
And do not be like those who forgot God, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient.

Sections of Covenant

Whoever Fulfills his Covenant and Fears God will Have whatever they Will in Gardens of Eternity, but the Fire is for the Disbelievers

So Indeed Mankind was Ignorant to Bear the Trust, but Indeed, the Truthful will Benefit from their Truthfulness - Paradise is for them

47:15, Qur'an
Is the description of Paradise, which those who fear [God] are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given scalding water to drink which will sever their intestines?

59:21, Qur'an
[So consider] if We had sent this Qur'an down upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of God. And We set forth these examples to the people so that perhaps they will give thought -

33:72, Qur'an
[For when] We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [promised to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant -

13:35, Qur'an
[For] the example of the Garden, which those who fear [God] have been promised, is [that] rivers flow beneath it. Its fruit is lasting, and its shade. That is the consequence for those who fear [God], and the Fire is the consequence for the disbelievers.

38:49, Qur'an
[So] this is a reminder. And indeed, for those who fear [God] is a good place of return -

3:76, Qur'an
[For] yes, whoever fulfills his covenant and fears [God] - then indeed, God loves those who fear [Him].

5:119, Qur'an
God will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." There are Gardens for them in which rivers flow beneath them, wherein they will abide forever, God being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great success.

50:31 - 33, Qur'an
And [thus,] the Garden will be brought near to those who fear [God], not far,
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to God] and keeper [of His covenant] who feared the Most Gracious unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]."

21:103, Qur'an
They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will receive them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised -"

16:31, Qur'an
Gardens of Eternity, which they will enter, in which rivers flow beneath them. They will have therein whatever they will. Thus does God reward those who fear [Him].

Do Not Exchange the Covenant of God for a Small Price, for whatever you have will End, but what God has is Lasting

So Know that this Life is Nothing but Diversion and Amusement, and the Hereafter, that is the Life

29:64, Qur'an
[Know that] this worldly life is nothing but diversion and amusement.  And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life, if only they knew.

28:60, Qur'an
[So] whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment.  And what is with God is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?

23:55 - 56, Qur'an
[Or] do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children
is [because] We hasten good things for them?  Rather, they do not perceive -

17:18, Qur'an
[For] whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten what We will from it to whom We intend.  Then We have made Hell for him, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished -

2:86, Qur'an
[For] those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.

Matthew 16:26, Gospel
[And thus,] what is a man profited, if he will gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Luke 4:6 - 7, Gospel
[For] the devil said, "All this power will I give you, and their glory, for that is delivered to me [by God]; and to whomever I will I give it.
If you will therefore prostrate to me, all will be yours."

11:15 - 16, Qur'an
[And so] whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they will not be deprived therein.
Those are the ones for whom there is nothing but the Fire in the Hereafter. And what they did therein is lost, and what they used to do is falsehood.

17:19, Qur'an
But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is appreciated [by God].

42:20, Qur'an
[And thus] whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase his harvest for him.  [But] whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is no share for him in the Hereafter -

79:37 - 39, Qur'an
[For] as for he who transgressed
and preferred the life of the world, then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.

16:95 - 96, Qur'an
[So] do not exchange the covenant of God for a small price.  Indeed, what is with God is best for you, if only you could know.
Whatever you have will end, but what God has is lasting.  And We will surely give those their reward who were patient according to the best of what they used to do.

God Created Death and Life to Test you as to which of you is Best in Deed

Then do the People Think they will be Left to Say, "We Believe" and they will Not be Tried? But God will Surely Make those Known who Believe, and those who are Liars

29:2 - 3, Qur'an
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?
But We have certainly tried those before them, and God will surely make those known who are truthful, and He will surely make the liars known.

3:142, Qur'an
Or do you think that you will enter the Garden while God has not yet made those of you known who strive [in His cause] and made those known who are patient?

47:31, Qur'an
And [thus,] We will surely test you until We make those known who strive among you [in the way of God] and the patient, and We will test the news about you.

2:155 - 156, Qur'an
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good news to the patient -
who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we [belong] to God, and indeed we will return to Him."

[Wisdom of Solomon 3:4 - 5], Torah
[And so,] although they are punished in the sight of men, yet their hope is full of immortality.
And having been a little chastised, they will be greatly rewarded; for God tested them, and found them worthy for Himself.

29:11, Qur'an
And [thus,] God will surely make those known who believe, and He will surely make the hypocrites known -

33:73, Qur'an
So that God may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others [with Him] and so that God may turn [in mercy] to the believing men and believing women. And God is Forgiving and Merciful.

67:1 - 2, Qur'an
[And thus] blessed is He in whose hand the kingdom is, and He is Powerful over all things -
who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Almighty, the Forgiving.

8:28, Qur'an
[So] know that your wealth and your children are a trial and that God has a great reward with Him.

We will Surely Let them Taste the Nearer Punishment Short of the Greater Punishment

And so Corruption has Appeared so He may Let them Taste what they have done so that Perhaps they will Return to God

7:94, Qur'an
We sent no prophet to any city except that We seized its people with poverty and hardship so that they might humble themselves [to God].

23:76 - 77, Qur'an
And [thus,] We had seized them with punishment [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humble themselves [to Him], [and they will continue thus]
until when We have opened a gate of severe punishment before them, immediately they will be in despair therein.

6:43, Qur'an
Then why did they not humble themselves when Our punishment came to them?  But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made that which they were doing attractive to them.

2:30, Qur'an
[So remember] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make a successive authority upon the earth." They said, "Will You place one upon it who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" [God] said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know -"

42:27, Qur'an
[For] if God had [excessively] extended provision for His servants, they would have transgressed throughout the earth. But He sends [it] down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is Aware and Seeing of His servants.

16:112, Qur'an
[And thus] God sets forth an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of God.  So God made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing -

30:41, Qur'an
[And so] corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so that He may let them taste part of what they have done so that perhaps they will return [to God].

[2 Ezra 16:20], Torah
But for all these things, they [would] not turn from their wickedness, nor always be mindful of the scourges.

21:46, Qur'an
[But] if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

32:21, Qur'an
[And thus] We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment [of Hell,] so that perhaps they will return.

The Fire is Among the Greatest Afflictions as a Warning to Humanity

As for those who were Arrogant, it will be Said, "Is This Not the Truth? Then is this Magic, or do you Not See? This is the Fire which you used to Deny, Enter to Burn Therein"

46:34, Qur'an
The Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?"  They will say, "Yes, by our Lord."  He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve -

40:75 - 76, Qur'an
That was because you used to exult upon the earth without truth and you used to behave insolently.
Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and it is wretched for the arrogant as a residence -"

45:32 - 33, Qur'an
[For] when it was said, "Indeed, the promise of God is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it," you said, "We do not know what the Hour is.  We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced."
And the evil [consequences] of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

7:44 - 45, Qur'an
And [so] the companions of the Garden will call out to the companions of the Fire, "We have already found what our Lord promised us to be true. Have you found what your Lord promised to be true?"  They will say, "Yes."  Then an announcer will announce among them, "The curse of God will be upon the wrongdoers"
- who averted [people] from the way of God and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they were disbelievers concerning the Hereafter.

77:28 - 34, Qur'an
[So] woe to the deniers that Day.
[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns [but having] no cool shade and not availing against the flame." Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, as if they were yellowish [black] camels. Woe to the deniers that Day.

44:49 - 50, Qur'an
[It will be said], "Taste!  Indeed, you are the honored, the noble!
Indeed, this is what you used to dispute -

52:14 - 16, Qur'an
This is the Fire which you used to deny.
Then is this magic, or do you not see?  [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do."

Malachi 4:1, Torah
[So] behold, the Day comes that will burn as an oven; and all the proud, and all who do wickedly, will be stubble, and the Day that comes will burn them up, the Lord of hosts says, that it will leave them neither root or branch -

Matthew 13:42, Gospel
[For the angels] will cast them into a furnace of Fire, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

25:13 - 14, Qur'an
And [thus,] when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."

39:16, Qur'an
[For] they will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies.  By that, God threatens His servants.  O My servants, then fear Me -

74:35 - 38, Qur'an
[For] indeed, [the Fire] is among the greatest [afflictions]
as a warning to humanity - to whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind.  Every soul will be retained [pledged] for what it has earned.

39:54 - 56, Qur'an
[So] return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped.
And follow the best of what was sent down to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive, unless a soul should say, "Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to God and that I was among the mockers."

Do you Wonder that a Reminder has Come to you from your Lord through a Man from Among you, Warning you of this Day?

For Hell is Brought that Day, Man will Remember, but what Good will the Remembrance be? So Indeed this Qur'an is a Reminder, and We had Already Given Moses and Aaron a Reminder for those who Fear God

87:9 - 12, Qur'an
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
he who fears [God] will be reminded. But the wretched one will avoid it - the one who will burn in the greatest Fire -

89:23, Qur'an
[For] Hell is brought that Day - [and] man will remember that Day, but what good will the remembrance be to him?

35:37, Qur'an
[For] they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you enough life for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is no helper for the wrongdoers.

44:13, Qur'an
[So] how will there be a reminder for them [at that time]?  And a clear messenger had come to them -

21:48 - 49, Qur'an
[For] We had already given Moses and Aaron the Criterion and a light and a reminder for those who fear [God] -
who fear their Lord unseen, while they are apprehensive of the Hour.

69:48, Qur'an
And indeed, [the Qur'an] is a reminder for those who fear [God].

21:7, Qur'an
And We did not send [anyone] before you except men to whom We revealed [the reminder], so ask the people about the reminder if you do not know.

7:63, Qur'an
Then do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, so that he may warn you, and so that you may fear God so you might receive mercy?

13:19 - 20, Qur'an
Then is he who knows that what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth like one who is blind?  Only those who are people of understanding will be reminded -
those who fulfill the covenant of God and do not break the contract -

20:123 - 124, Qur'an
[When God] said, "Descend from [the Garden] - all, some being enemies to one another. And if guidance should come to you from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in this world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter].
And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him blind on the Day of Resurrection."

18:100 - 101, Qur'an
And We will present Hell that Day to the disbelievers, its width -
those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance, and they were not able to hear.

88:21 - 24, Qur'an
So remind, you are only a reminder.
You are not a controller over them. However, he who turns away and disbelieves - then God will punish him with the greatest punishment -

20:126, Qur'an
[God] will say, "Thus Our verses came to you, and you forgot them; and thus you will be forgotten this Day."

Do not be Like those who Forgot God, so He Made them Forget themselves, for they did Not Keep the Covenant of God

So Today We will Likewise Forget them as they Likewise Forgot the Meeting of this Day of theirs

58:18 - 19, Qur'an
On the Day God will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something.  Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.
Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of God.  Those are the party of Satan.  Unquestionably, the party of Satan - they will be the ones in loss -

Psalms 9:17, Torah
[For] the wicked will be turned into Hell, and all the nations that forget God.

45:34, Qur'an
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and there are no helpers for you."

59:19, Qur'an
[So] do not be like those who forgot God, so He made them forget themselves.  Those are the defiantly disobedient -

9:67, Qur'an
[Such as] the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, [who] are of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands. They have forgotten God, so He has [likewise] forgotten them. Indeed, the hypocrites - it is they who are the defiantly disobedient -

7:51, Qur'an
[The ones] who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded.  So Today We will forget them just as they [likewise] forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses -

Psalms 78:10 - 11, Torah
[For] they did not keep the covenant of God, and refused to walk in His law;
and forgot His works, and His wonders that He had shown them.

Judges 3:7, Torah
[For] the Children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and forgot the Lord their God, and served Baalim and the groves.

5:14, Qur'an
And from those who say, "We are Christians," We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that which they were reminded. So We aroused animosity and hatred amongst them until the Day of Resurrection. And soon God is going to inform them about what they used to do -

20:126 - 127, Qur'an
[God] will say, "Thus Our verses came to you, and you forgot them; and thus you will [likewise] be forgotten this Day."
And thus We recompense he who transgressed and did not believe in the verses of his Lord. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more enduring.

10:52, Qur'an
Then it will be said to those who had wronged, "Taste the punishment of eternity; are you being recompensed except for what you used to earn?

32:14, Qur'an
So taste [the punishment] because you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours; indeed, We have [likewise] forgotten you. And taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do."

They will Say, "Our Lord, Return us to the World, we are Now Certain"

But Even if they were Returned, they would Return to that which was Forbidden

32:12, Qur'an
If you could see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], "Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness.  Indeed, we are [now] certain."

[Book of Enoch 63:5], Torah
And they will say, "If only we might be given a respite, so that we might praise and thank and bless Him, and make our confession in front of His glory."

23:99 - 100, Qur'an
[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, return me,
so that I might do righteousness in that which I left behind."  No!  It is only a word he is saying; and there is a barrier behind them until the Day they are resurrected.

14:44, Qur'an
[So] warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them and those who did wrong will say, "Our Lord, delay us for a short term; we will answer Your call and follow the messengers."  [But it will be said], "Had you not sworn, before, that there would be no end for you?"

23:106 - 107, Qur'an
They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.
Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

6:28, Qur'an
But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them.  And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars -

33:72 - 73, Qur'an
[For] indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [promised to] bear it.  Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
[It was] so that God may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others [with Him] and so that God may turn [in mercy] to the believing men and believing women.  And God is Forgiving and Merciful.

16:91, Qur'an
[So] fulfill the covenant of God when you have taken it, and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made God a surety over you.  Indeed, God knows what you do.

57:8, Qur'an
[So] why do you not believe in God while the messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?
